Not as nice as other reviews...

First, positives - great location, beautiful views from decks and the complex was well maintained. And, based on the photos and reviews we were looking forward to our stay here. At first glance, things seemed good - the kitchen was nice and was pretty clean (later discovered the oven had huge spill and were afraid to use it for fear of smoking ourselves out). The furniture was o.k. - the chairs in the great room were constantly "releasing" feathers from the filling but no big deal. The couch was comfy but could use a good vacuuming. The bathroom fixtures were all fine - however, the bathmats in both full baths were disgusting - we all wore sox the whole time rather than letting them touch our feet. We would have washed them but were afraid they might not survive it and frankly we had better things to do. The unit definitely needs a deep cleaning of baseboards, light switches (some were actually black from lack of cleaning). The GR sliding door was in need of a new track, we could barely get it open and closed - the 9 year old of the group could not budge it. We did report this to the management company so they could get it fixed before new tenants arrived. If you do rent, be sure to leave the entry hall and downstairs hall lights on at all times, otherwise the black slate stairs are treacherous - 2 of us took a tumble despite being careful...but keeping the lights on seemed to help. Nothing kept us from enjoying our vacation but this could definitely get 4 stars with more attention to cleaning and replacing things past their useful life. The gift basket with wine and snacks was a nice touch and the Pullen group did respond to my e-mail with concerns for future tenants benefit mainly.
