Spacious apartment for 4 adults. Good beds. Loved the enclosed sun porch and outdoor patio. Fun neighborhood and easy access to downtown Boston subway. Bonus: no cleaning fee. We had a bad coffee spill on a wool rug and Lita's cleaning person graciously told us she could get it out with no problem. Lita refunded our full damage deposit.
It was very comfortable and clean, we enjoyed it very much. Great location
Our group of 6 fully enjoyed our stay in Lita's rental unit. The condo was conveniently located near shops, bus stop, and subway station. We bought 7 day passes for the public transportation and were able to use the buses and trains as much as we liked. Took in a game at Fenway Park, explored downtown Boston (public garden, common, Cheers, Quincy Market, etc.), visited the New England Aquarium, took a Duck Tour and Ghosts and Gravestones trolley tour...we also visited nearby Salem and Plymouth. We ate breakfast and dinner at the condo each day; we had all the dishes and space that we needed for the 6 of us. There was an abundance of towels and washcloths, and the beds were comfy (though a little noisy). It was great having access to a washer and dryer. We didn't have to bring home nearly as much dirty laundry as usual after a week vacation. Our daughter who has been taking piano lessons for 10 years LOVED having the piano to play in the mornings and evenings. Grandpa loved reading his books in the sun room! On street parking was a bit tricky on several occasions, but overall we loved the rental unit! Thank you!
Lita was very helpful with suggestions on how to get around while visiting Boston. She explained everything in the house, and was there to greet us when we arrived. We were a group of 5 women, and we had plenty of space. We loved this area, and we were walking distance to restaurants and shopping. House was comfortable with beautiful furnishings. Close to public transportation, yet away from bustle of Boston. We loved our stay.
We were very impressed with this property -- it is all that is advertised and more. The furnishings are very nice, every inch was very clean, and we had everything we needed. We were a party of 8 and fit very comfortably into the home. The beds were great with plenty of linens and towels. In addition to being a beautiful home, it is very convenient to a T station, Whole Foods, CVS, pizza place and more. It was so nice to be able to gather in the living room, patio or kitchen, rather than meeting up from various hotel rooms. The owner was very welcoming and had lots of great information for us. I would very much recommend this home as a great place for a family or group of close friends.
I stayed at this condo with four women friends. It is a very comfortable condo - not fancy but very nice. We loved its location in Jamaica Plain, close to restaurants, shops, public transit and Jamaica Pond. It was great to have a place to come home to with space to be together, drink wine, have appetizers, unlike in a hotel. It was a very reasonable cost. I would recommend this place to a larger group that wants a kitchen, living room and to feel more like locals living in a very nice neighbourhood. The kitchen could be better stocked with glasses, wine glasses etc.
Jamaica Plain is 4 miles from downtown Boston. Walk to pond. shopping, restaurants, parks, and bus.
