This spacious house has something for everyone. For the beach lover, the private association beach is a short walk down the street. There are no crowds here and you'll feel as if the beach is your own. Kids and adults will enjoy hunting for sand dollars and starfish on the sand bar at low tide. The sand bar is also great for skim-boarding. For the explorer, it's a great home-base for exploring Sandwich and all that the Upper-Cape and Mid-Cape have to offer: antiquing up and down Rt.6A; Whale Watching out of Barnstable Harbor; kayaking on Scorton Creek; browsing the art galleries of Sandwich and Barnstable; and riding bikes on the Cape Cod Canal Bikeway. All of these activities and more are less than 15 minutes away. For the home-body, or that occassional rainy day, the house is spacious and comfortable. There are 2 separate seating areas in the living room. There are 2 large LCD TV's with cable, a Nintendo GameCube, a sound system with iPod dock and wi-fi.
Lots of Extras!: For the chef in the family, the kitchen is equipped with a 5-burner cooktop, double ovens and a warming drawer. If you prefer to grill outside, there is a brand new Weber grill on the patio. After your dinner is done, put your iPod in the dock and relax on the back patio. With 4 speakers outside and seating for 10 it's the perfect place to relax in the evening. An added bonus is the large outdoor fireplace built into the patio, perfect for s'mores or just for a warm fire under the stars.
The house is located in an established neighborhood with large lots, affording you plenty of space in a nicely landscaped yard to enjoy the outdoors while also providing complete privacy in the back yard and on the back patio. This house is a true escape from your normal day-to-day.
Once over the bridge, you are only 15 minutes from the house in peaceful, historic Sandwich. Sandwich is a short 15 minute drive to downtown Hyannis, but you'll feel miles and miles away from the summer traffic and crowds. Sandwich's attractions inlcude the Heritage Plantation, Sandwich Glass Museum, Dexter Grist Mill, Hoxie House, Thorton Burgess Museum, Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen and the Sandwich Antiques Center. In Sandwich Village, and along Rt. 6A you'll find great antiquing and many shops and art galleries.
Sandwich is also home to many great restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some of our favorites: breakfast at Cafe Chew, Paul's Bean & Bagel or 6A Cafe; lunch at Hemisphere, the Tavern at Dan'l Webster Inn or MoMo's; dinner at The Belfry, Aqua Grill, Amari's or takeout from Emelia's Pizza. Head to the Marina for fresh-off-the-boat lobster, steamers and fish at Joe's Lobster Mart. And ice cream from Twin Acres or Sweet Caroline's can't be beat
