INCREDIBLE PANORAMIC VIEWS OF COVE MOUNTAIN AND THE ENTIRE WEARS VALLEY! It is truly 'A Sight To See'! We offer a Lovely 4 Bedroom, 3 Bath cabin with well appointed floor plan and lots of style. The open living area has a towering cathedral ceiling, gleaming hardwoods, stone gas log fireplace and lots of glass to bring the outside indoors and allow you to enjoy the breathtaking mountain views. There is a KING LOFT MASTER SUITE with a view, and three additional queen private bedrooms, a spacious recreation-media room also has spectacular views, wrap around deck where you can enjoy the sounds of nature in the Smokies, and plenty of level easy access parking. A large hot tub is on the top deck. A lovely jacuzzi bath is in the master bathroom & an 'extra queen' size Sleep Number bed is in the master bedroom. There are only 5 steps to the main floor & master suite, making access easy and convenient. Your comfort and enjoyment is our goal for your Smokey Mountain destination!

NOT PART OF A RESORT: 'A Sight To See' sits on over 1.5 acres of mountainside property with only one other cabin in proximity to us at approximately 40 yards to our west. No other cabins on Hatcher Mountain are visible from our deck in the summer and Fall. Note that the other cabin to our west is called Cherie's Chalet, sleeps 6, and can be rented through VRBO #428364 for larger parties wishing to stay close together.

About Penny Erwin

We vacationed here several years ago and fell in love with the cabin, the beautiful views, diversity of outdoor activities, wonderful restaurants, entertaining shows, and multitude of shopping venues. We are a family who loves to spend time together. We are residents of Alabama but our family ancestry and heritage hails from Tennessee. We feel like we're at home when staying at our cabin.

This house has one of the best views in Wears Valley sitting high atop Hatcher Mountain with 180 degrees unobstructed visibility. We also love the comfort & beauty of the house itself. Finally, the location of the home is ideal because of it's seclusion and proximity to Pigeon Forge, Great Smokey Mountains National Park, and Gatlinburg. We never want to leave but we enjoy sharing our special mountain getaway with others. We want our guests to have the same experience as we do when we stay in the Smokey Mountains!

What makes this cabin unique

Our location high atop Hatcher Mountain makes this cabin unique because of the beautiful unobstructed views of Cove Mountain and Wears Valley. The comfortable rocking chairs on our large wrap-around deck allow you to sit back and relax with family and friends in complete privacy. The air is so clean and refreshing! We love grilling out on the deck, relaxing in the hot tub, or listening to music while watching the sun set over the mountain skyline. The early morning yields spectacular views above the mist covered valley floor. It's truly a magical experience!

Wears Valley is a small rustic community nestled between Cove Mountain and Hatcher Mountain in the Eastern Tennessee Appalachian Mountain Range. Wears Valley is geographically central to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park entrance, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. Wears Valley is appealing to those who prefer the peaceful serenity of mountain living to the constant bustle of tourism found in Pigeon Forge and central Gatlinburg. Local attractions include lazy river tubing, zip lines, fly fishing, nature trails, and mountain biking.

Wears Valley is only 7 miles from Pigeon Forge, 5 miles from the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, and 15 miles from Gatlinburg.

My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon at "A Sight to See". The cabin was absolutely ideal. The view was great the, the cabin was clean and extremely well kept. I would highly recommend "A Sight to See" to anyone wanting to stay in a cabin near the smokey mountains.

Penny (the owner), was very hospitable and ensured our stay was a great experience in the Pigeon Forge area.

From the moment we drove up to the time we drove away we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The views are breath-taking and the cabin is very clean. It has everything you need from wine glasses to washing machine detergent, even little chocolates left on the pillows when you first arrive. We will (and already have) encourage anyone who visits Pigeon Forge to stay in A Sight To See. We plan to come back during the summer months.
Thank you Penny, and family, for allowing us to stay in your home. It is truly beautiful and will remain in all of our memories forever.

This mountain cabin was perfect, even better than described. We arrived to views more beautiful and a cabin more welcoming than the pictures could hope to show. The loft bedroom was amazing and though not appointed as the master (which was on the main level) its where my husband and I slept. We just couldn't pass up waking up to the view. Our daughters stayed in the downstairs bedrooms, which was perfect. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. Everything has been thought of, down to instructions for the televisions, which we very much appreciated. It was a wonderful place to return 'home' to after a day of hiking in the Smokies.

We have rented many vacation homes over the past few years, all across the country (this trip to Tennessee marked our 10th vacation home rental). It was clear the moment we walked in the door that the owners of this cabin take care of their renters better than any other owners I have dealt with, hands down. I highly recommend and look forward to a return trip.

Hi. I'm David's wife. I wanted to answer your question about how we liked your cabin. Let me tell you- we wish we could have stayed much longer! Your home away from home lacked nothing! It was wonderful. Right down to the handy scissor & scotch tape! Sitting on the deck, night or day, was heaven. Our friends left you a note in your book on the end table by the sofa but I didn't have time, so I left you a quickie on the frig. on a 3x5 card. We only had 2 nights there. I could have stayed for a month. I'm working on an autobiography & I could just visualize sitting on the deck, day after day writing, with the inspiration of the cabin & spansive view. Thank you. I hope we can visit there in the future.
