About Brandon Tarricone

I am a professional musician and home remodeler in New Orleans. I moved to the crescent city 16 years ago to receive my degree in jazz performance and fell in love with the uptown culture. After Hurricane Katrina I started purchasing destroyed properties and rebuilding them, restoring them back to their prime. I was even featured on the show 'Flip that House'. I have completed 6 full home renovations in the uptown New Orleans area. Most of them are gorgeous old duplex properties that I still own and rent now.

Brandon Tarricone purchased this house in 2004

Why Brandon Tarricone chose New Orleans

This was the first house I purchased and I lived in it for years. I was living there when Katrina happened (this house did not flood), and only moved after rebuilding another house for myself in a destroyed part of town to help bring a different neighborhood back. This is my and many other peoples favorite areas of of New Orleans. lots of people love this area because of jacquimos and the maple leaf, and the whole vibe of oak street with all of the good people, spots and fun. I own 2 houses on this block with a total of 5 units. I love it. They are both gorgeous old houses that I have fully restored

What makes this house unique

Oak street area is a great area with the maple leaf bar, and Carrolton Station close by, and the coffee shops and restaurants just a block away its a really relaxing, fun area to be in. Never crowded with tourists, its still very centrally located in New Orleans. The universities and the parks are all just around the corner. the Mississippi River rolls by just 3 blocks away and there are so many fun things to do.

Girls trip

  • 5 of 5
There were 7 girls that went on my trip to New Orleans. The house was perfect for us. So cute! I loved it so much, I didn't want to leave, I just wanted to move right in. Haha. It's in a safe neighborhood, I never felt like I wasn't safe. It is mostly college aged people living around the house. We walked to the super delicious jacque-imo's. There are plenty of little bars, coffee shops, and restaurants all within walking distance. We drove downtown to go out on bourbon st, it is a super easy 10 minute drive. Brandon was also very accommodating, he answered all my questions, answered my emails promptly and returned my deposit in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and definitely want to return soon!! Thanks for the great experience, Brandon!

Home awayfrom Home!

  • 5 of 5
Four of us stayed for six days. The house was perfect for getting a taste of life in New Orleans. Very comfortable and close to everything. 30 minutes from the plantations in the lower Mississippi and 10 minutes from the French Quarter. A block or two away from Oak Street and all the local hangouts. Street parking and quiet neighborhood. Close to the Trolley for getting around greater New Orleans. Owner easy to work with.

Home away from Home!

Great place to stay. There were four of us and wanted the feel of a real New Orleans neighborhood. Comfortable and local businesses to meet all your needs. Everything in working order and owner very accommodating. Great place to get around the New Orleans area on the surface streets. 10 minutes to the French Quarter and 30 minutes to the lower Mississippi and the Plantation homes.

Easy travel via the Trolley if without a car and can get multiday tickets. $20.00 cab ride from the airport. Variety of local restaurants just a block away. Looking forward to a return trip.

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5
Great spot, and a cool house. We walked over to the Maple Leaf and caught Rebirth Brass band one night, and John Clearly and George Porter with Johnny Vidocovitch another night. Great food up and down Oak street, but besides Jacquimos, which is of course the famous- must eat spot, we enjoyed Oak Wine bar, with good food and free bands each night. Good stuff…. the house had plenty of space, clean and all that important stuff….
