Why Brian chose Chatham

The perfect place to relax with family & friends.

What makes this farmhouse unique

This property is managed by the chef and owner of the Old Chatham Country Store. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and experienced in estate management and the restaurant and catering business. He can provide for special catering, picnics, events and dinner parties. The house is also within a mile of the OCCS if you should choose to enjoy their home baked breads, pastries, sandwiches, breakfast, lunch and dinner in a transformed space of candlelight and white tablecloths, with a menu that changes monthly. Yours to explore, even a bike ride away....

This house has it all!!! Immaculate design (this house is newly renovated-- with reclaimed materials--which to me is the ideal). It has top of the line fixtures and amenities. This house is the absolute perfect combination of rustic, chic, utility & comfort. We are a group of 8 friends (a combination of some couples and some singles) who escaped NYC for Mem Day Wknd. The kitchen is fantastic for a group of our size. We cooked every meal and aside from a few of the guys playing golf one morning, we never left the house! The outdoor patio area is so relaxing and fun to hang out in. Some of us would play bocce, others would be grilling, while some meandered over to the Icelandic ponies across the dirt road. There are multiple places to curl up and read a book for those looking for quiet downtime. In the evenings, we hung out in the basement area which has a sweet set up including a pool table, bar stools, surround sound, huge flat screen tv, and comfortable seating for playing games. Set on 400 acres, you could explore outside every day for hours. Things like two dishwashers and a separate wet bar with ice machine were major bonuses. The folks managing the property are also very attentive and hospitable! We will absolutely be back. Can't wait to rent again.

What a fabulous house this is. The setting is beautiful, with a wonderful view from every window. And the house is a delight. Every detail in every room is a treat for the eye. The rooms are comfortable as well, with lots of sitting areas throughout the house and outdoors too. The needs of guests have been anticipated and met. The house exceeded my expectations, which were already high, so I was pleasantly surprised

It is a perfect spot for a relaxing get-away no matter what time of year.

A Girlfriend Get Away Close to New York City

  • 5 of 5

The Seven Bridges Inn setting is idyllic, picturesque and charming and then there is the fabulous house. Beautifully appointed, with every room being warm and welcoming, the six of us spent much time in the sunroom and the living room not to mention the great kitchen. I had the pleasure of staying in the spacious and sun-filled master suite which I could have stayed in ithe whole time! Seven Bridges Inn is the type of home that you want to experience in all four seasons. Mimi, the owner, has created a most wonderful space for people to reflect or to party in or both.I can't wait to return.

Perfect country getaway

  • 5 of 5

This house is set amid bucolic rolling hills in upstate New York. It is nestled in woodlands with a brook trickling nearby. The house is charm itself as it is beautifully decorated but not in the least pretentious. It is a most comfortable, welcoming getaway with room for families or a group of friends. The kitchen is fully equipped with every utensil and appliance one could wish for. The bathrooms have room tubs/sinks/showers with stylish fixtures. Beds have good linens and comfortable mattresses. It is a truly special property which will beckon any tenant back again and again. We recommend it highly.

A Retreat in the Country

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 5 girlfriends just returned from a wonderful stay at Seven Bridges where we truly had the time of our lives. The house is big enough so that if anyone needed a little privacy, it was there for us upstairs in the beautiful bedrooms. But who needs privacy when all the rooms on the main floor are so beautiful and welcoming? The fabulous kitchen was perfect for cooking up all of our delicious meals and after we ate, there were two dishwashers to handle all of our dishes. The house and surrounding areas are so impossibly beautiful, even in the gray of March. Brian, the manager, and Mimi, the owner of Seven Bridges, went out of their way to make certain that we wanted for nothing. The house is absolutely magnificent and outfitted with every possible need. This was the perfect mini-vacation and we cannot wait to return.

Great spot for a reunion!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the property for a long weekend during the "leaf season", coinciding with reunion weekend at my alma mater. We had three couples staying with us, and the home in its renovated state is so spacious, we never ran into each other (unless we were trying to). The two rooms at the original front of the home are very comfortable for just hanging out, particularly the library with its big screen TV and main (upstairs) audio unit. The back patio is large and has a built in grilling area. This turned out to be our party space since the weather was beautiful. The property itself is very picturesque, a stream runs right by the house, the main barn (which is occupied) is right across the shale-paved road. The property is large and steep enough to make for some invigorating morning hikes. We had robin-blue eggs produced on the farm for our first breakfast. You won't get those at Four Seasons!
