Luxury villa on Vieques Island offers spectacular ocean views and modern accommodations with 3 deluxe bedrooms, new gorgeous pool with panaoramic ocean views, large outdoor living space & terrace and passion fruit, guava and coconut garden. The villa has 3 air-conditioned bedrooms that offer 2 queen beds, 1 twin and one pull out sofa bed if needed, brand new glass tiled bathroom, comfortable living room, kitchen with stainless steel appliances and flat screen TVs in many rooms. The large outdoor living area with additional living room & dining room offers sweeping views of St Thomas, Puerto Rico and Culebra. Wild horses roam on the beach at the bottom of our hill. The villa is fully equipped with luxury linens and towels, all kitchen & cooking appliances/utensils, DVDs, music, games, beach chairs, coolers, BBQ, etc.

World’s brightest bioluminescent bay: The largest of the Spanish Virgin Islands resting between St. Thomas and Puerto Rico, Vieques is a paradise we are excited to share. We’ve been frequent visitors to this beautiful island and believe it is truly a special place. In addition to the great beaches and fantastic sunsets, Vieques has one of the world’s brightest bioluminescent bays, often called the eighth wonder of the world. We encourage all of our guests to experience the bio-bay via boat or kayak. You’ll see the water splash up in a burst of millions of lights and if you decide to swim, you will move through the water like a golden angel with thousands of sparkling lights running off your body.

About Vieques: Vieques or La Isla Nena, is about the size of Manhattan (21 miles long and 5 miles across) and has approximately 9,000 residents. For years the US Navy controlled the majority of the island yet only utilized a small portion for the controversial firing ranges and air maneuvers. In 2003 the Navy closed the ranges and turned three-quarters of the island back over to the public as the Vieques National Wildlife Refuge. The preserve holds a rich variety of habitats, pristine white sand beaches, lagoons, mangrove wetlands as well as a strip of subtropical dry forest. Ironically it was the presence of the Navy that actually saved the island from run away development. Now the island remains largely undeveloped with pristine white sand beaches, wild horses, mangroves and native flora.

How to Get to Vieques: Many airlines have direct flights to San Juan International Airport. No passport is required. From San Juan there are two ways to arrive in Vieques, by plane or ferry. The following airlines fly to Vieques: The second way to Vieques is to take a taxi to the ferry. Taxis pick you up in front of the airport and will bring you to the town of Fajardo where the ferry departs. The 1 hour taxi ride and 1 hour ferry ride is available for adults and children. We recommend the rental of a Jeep or similar vehicle so that you can explore some of the remote parts of the island. The rental cars are not perfect due to the condition of some of the roads on the island so expect a comfortable vehicle in imperfect condition.

An AMAZING time in Vieques!

My husband and I just got back from Vieques yesterday. We spent 1 week at Heidi's Hilltop Hacienda with our 3 year old daughter.
It was absolutely wonderful.
Heidi and Rick are sooo helpful. They left us a very informative summary of the house, island activities, best beaches, restaurants, etc.
The house is fully stocked with beach things (chairs, towels, some toys, etc).
The kitchen has the basic necessities needed for cooking some simple dinners/lunches (the supermarkets on the island as not so great, but the Tuesday farmers market is well worth the trip and the line to stock up for your stay).
Heidi checked in with us periodically throughout the week to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us directions several times.
The house is a perfect beach escape. The inside of the house is very clean and simple (3 bedrooms and a small kitchen/living room)
The real magic is the outdoor living room/dining room that overlooks the ocean. We spent 90% of our time at the house out on this porch.
All in all, Vieques is incredible, the house is wonderful, and Heidi is better than a top hotel concierge.
Highly, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in Vieques. The house was perfect, offering us views of the ocean, surrounding islands and easy access to local shops, beaches and restaurants. We loved able to sit and eat outdoors!
The owners, Heidi and Rick were so helpful in making us feel welcome and being available if we needed them. We would strongly recommend the house and hope to return ourselves.
