Wonderful!!

My husband and I just spent a wonderful 10 day vacation at this beautiful beachfront condo. Our adult daughter joined us for a few days and was quite comfortable on the futon. The view is amazing and we spent many hours on the deck taking just enjoying the wonderful weather or walking on the terrific beach. The temperature was warm but the breeze kept the condo amazingly cool. We especially enjoyed the sound of the ocean lulling us to sleep every night! The location is perfect with easy walking to stores, restaurants and car rental. We did rent a car for 3 days to enjoy a bioluminescent bay tour, Loquillo beach, El Yunque Rainforest, Rio Camuy Caves and the Arecibo Observatory -- all within 1 to 1-1/2 hrs. depending on traffic. Taxis were easy and best way to get in and out of Old San Juan. This condo is very well-equipped and extremely clean. A special thank you to Sonia who was so helpful from start to finish. She was so welcoming that it truly felt like we were renting a friend's place. We often rent condos and this is definitely one of the best. Should you be planning a trip to Puerto Rico, we highly recommend getting in touch with Sonia.

Fantastic view and beach

We do a lot of travelling (11 cruises last year) and often rent condos. This rental was one of the best we've ever had. All the other reviews were correct and it's hard to add much to the many superlatives. The condo was like being at home with everything provided as if we had equipped it ourselves. My wife even found a boogie board and had a lot of fun in the surf. The beach is spectacular with a very safe, gentle slope into the water, but enough waves to make it fun. There were a lot of local Puerto Rican families all having fun on the beach which made for good people watching. We had rented a car, but didn't use it much because we were so relaxed, that all we wanted to do was go to the beach and the pool. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and we felt very safe at all times of day or night. We especially had fun at El Taquitos which is right across the street. If you want cold beer, they have the coldest and you can take it back to the condo or the beach (it's only $10.00 for 5 Budweisers, which is just a little more than at Pueblo's). They even put the beer in a bag full of ice for free. The burritos were quite good and very cheap and they are open 24 hours. Don't hesitate to rent this condo, even if it seems a little more expensive than others. The view from the 16th floor makes it worth it. It was also very quiet at night and the air conditioner works really well for sleeping. Do bring binoculars, as there are lots of things to see from the balcony. If we return to Puerto Rico, we will be staying at this condo again.

Beautiful!

The condo was exactly as advertised and pictured. We were there for a five night stay and spent a lot of our time just sitting on the balcony looking at the beautiful view and people watching. Bring binoculars - we wished we had!

The beach has a lot to offer - parasailing, jet ski rentals, beach bar/restaurants just a short walk away. Restaurants and a few gift shops are available on the street side as well. We took the bus, taxis, and tours when we wanted to explore other areas.

Everyone we encountered in Puerto Rico was helpful, friendly, and truly seemed to enjoy their jobs. Sonia was great - answered any questions we had before arriving and checked in to make sure that our check in and out went smoothly. Security deposit was returned before we even got all the way home.

We did not cook at the condo - we did buy some bread for toast in the morning (no bagels at Walgreens) and would have liked a full-size coffee maker rather than the 4-cupper provided, but we managed fine anyway. There were some supplies/food left by previous tenants which was helpful when we ran out of coffee on the last day, but be sure to check expiration dates/quality first. We were hoping to use the pina colada mix left unopened in the refrigerator, but found it was too old and had separated beyond fixing. There is a pizza place across the street which we used one night that was really good and a couple of DVD's in the condo that we hadn't seen before which was nice after a tiring day touring.

Although we probably won't be back - we have other places we want to explore, this condo experience will be the one we rate all others against!

The condo location as you mentioned is ideal with a wonderful beach to enjoy and all types activities at your footsteps! We also hope you enjoyed the complimentary bottled water and chilled bottle of wine left in the fridge as a welcome token! I'll like to address some of your comments for the benefit of future guests: we try to keep our kitchen well supplied with everything guests could possibly need to make them feel at home and in doing so we need to keep in mind most efficient use of storage as well as working space, hence most appropriate size for coffee maker is the 4-cup dripper which can be replenished if more quantity is desired. In addition we provide an espresso greca. One of the things guests appreciate most is that we try not to throw away common staples that can be reused by the next incoming guest such as ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper, spices, cooking oil, etc. All staples are wiped clean each time and verified for expiration date. Anything expired we throw away. What you thought was piña colada mix unopened and unexpired in the refrigerator was a can of cream of coconut which is used to make piña coladas. The normal state of cream of coconut when in ambient temperature is fully liquid but when cold is for the cream to separate from the syrup reason you saw it separated, and understand you may have thought it was spoiled. When available, we supply a brand new small sample of Puerto Rican coffee for our guests to enjoy, and I am glad it lasted you almost the entire visit. We also provide initial supply of all cleaning staples, soaps, paper ware, etc. The condo also has a folding shopping cart to facilitate going grocery shopping to nearby 24-hour supermarket either walking or by car, and of course Walgreens 24-hours is just across the street! I'm glad you enjoyed the visit and if ever wanting to visit PR again, be happy to host you anytime!

Personal touches

We loved the view, of course,but were particularly impressed with the little thoughtful touches that friends of ours staying in another condo didn't find: the welcome wine, the drying rack on the balcony, the rain ponchos (we particularly appreciated these when we went to the rain forest), etc. Also, Sonia was wonderfully involved in making sure we didn't run into any difficulties on our first visit, when it can be confusing.

Wonderful beach location away from winter

We came to Marbella condo for our honeymoon last week and we had the most wonderful time. The location is excellent because it's right on the best beach around. The amenities were excellent and it was equipped with everything that we needed. There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you don't want to cook, but the kitchen is more than adequate if you want to cook for yourself. Old San Juan is relatively close, but beware of relying on the bus because the schedule is erratic and you may have to wait an hour for the bus to come. Others at the condo told us this as well. We waited 45 mins one afternoon from about 3:15 and finally took a cab that cost about $22 into Old San Juan. The location is great for those like us who primarily want to enjoy the warm beautiful beach and have all the comforts of home and good restaurants nearby. If you want to venture out, there are plenty of car rental agencies nearby and the owners gave extremely useful and detailed information about car rentals, grocery shopping, transportation, restaurants, etc. The owners are the nicest people and were very accommodating with our flight schedule. We would highly recommend this condo and it's owners to anyone considering this area for a vacation. We would definitely request this condo again.
