Your day in Little Exuma can be spent by fishing, bonefishing, scuba diving or snorkeling, power or sail boating, bicycling, hiking, or exploring the island and its magnificent beaches.

This private estate itself is a dream come true. Private beach, fantastic view from anywhere in the house, stunning master bedroom and all the other bedrooms are very comfortable.
Furthermore, our trip could not have been as successful without the great service ! Amazing boat trip to Sandy Cay and Elizabeth Harbor. The house is admirably clean and well organized. Flawless.
Can't wait to come back !
We just returned home from Sugar Beach Villa and this is the first time I have felt compelled to review a vacation rental straight away. This place so surpassed our expectations. Everything about the home is welcoming and beautiful. The beds are comfortable, the house is impeccably clean, beautifully furnished and the views are spectacular in every direction. It's funny that there are no photos of the other bathrooms because the master and guest bathrooms are stunning. Each secret deck and magical path transports to paradise.
We traveled as a family of 4 with 2 small children and another couple. The set up could not have been more perfect. Our friends were able to have privacy in Kasharina and we were able to gather everyday on the beach and for dinner. Ms. Glo and Linton now feel part of the family and could not have been more kind, gracious and helpful. We were thrilled with the 2 dining options in Williamstown. As New Yorkers, we have the pick of every great restaurant, but nothing can compare to sitting down at a picnic table and experiencing local food as the waves crash on the shore. The owner of Santana's went so far as to send out for kid friendly chicken wings and fries from her sister's place across the street, to make sure my kids had enough to eat.
It is best to have the house stocked before you arrive or plan on a big shop upon arrival, the grocery store is 20 minutes away and we personally, never wanted to leave Sugar Beach. Most days, we would buy fish or lobster from the local fish monger down the street and cook for ourselves. Paula cooked 2 wonderful meals for us and do not miss out on Linton's daughters rum cake. Incredible!
Our day boat trip with Linton was hands down the most spectacular beach day we have ever experienced. The creek, or cove, was perfect for our kids...warm, shallow, calm crystal clear water. Even our one "bad weather " day was perfect. While it was 1 degree in NY, we got to sit on the deck, and watch the waves crash and the wind blow, bundled in a light sweater in 68 degree weather. Little Exuma is far from tourist traps and you are able to experience the Bahamas without any commercial presence, which for us was ideal. The local people are friendly and helpful. Our only problem is we think we might be ruined from ever going anywhere else!
Our family of 5 stayed at SBV over the Christmas holidays. On the positive, the grounds are lovely, as is the main house. We typically vacation in Eleuthera, and expected amenities similar to what we've been accustomed. Unfortunately, in this regards, Little Exuma, and SBV fell short. There is not one true restaurant in the area, in the real sense of the word. There is only one bona fide grocery store, and it is a 30 minute drive away in Georgetown. The dishwasher was not functioning, which at this price range, one expects a working dishwasher. Likewise, we brought champagne and good wines, and to our dismay, there were no wine glasses, let alone champagne flutes. When I raised this with the owner subsequently he mentioned they do not stock them due to breakage but in fairness, we have stayed in many villas and have never "not" had wine glasses available. Finally, be warned that the no-see-ums were fierce and quite unpleasant. Also, be aware that there is only one tv, a small screen, in the second house. Although we do not visit the Bahamas to watch tv, it is nice to watch a movie in the evenings as there is nothing else going on in Little Exuma. Something that one expects in a home that is billed as luxury. I recognize that my review is the dissenting voice amongst other reviewers, but compared to our experiences in other Homeaway properties, this was a disappointment.
Our stay at Sugar Beach Villa was an incredible vacation experience. We have traveled extensively throughout the Bahamas and this is the best all around trip we've had so far. The villa is everything it is represented to be and more. As some others have reported, I selfishly want to keep this slice of heaven a secret, but I certainly owe it to the owners and staff to write this review. The property is immaculately maintained by Linton and Miss Glo. Linton is also available for day trips on his nice boat for fishing, snorkeling, conch diving and island hopping. He is an absolute gentleman and very attentive to ensure a great time. You can also arrange for Linton's wife Paula to prepare your catch for a Bahamian feast.
Exuma is a wonderful island with spectacular beaches and the most beautiful water in the Caribbean. We are already making plans to return to Sugar Beach Villa next year. A big thumbs up to Debbie and Dale who go out of their way to help you plan and be prepared for your trip. Make your reservations with confidence!
Wow! Incredible! Unreal! Are you kidding me? These are just a few of the things you will find yourself saying every day at Sugar Beach Villa. SBV is a little slice of heaven tucked away from the world in Little Exuma. Linton and Miss Gloria are wonderful beyond words, the property is fantastic, and the views and privacy will knock you off your feet. I'm not one for writing reviews, especially for a place I'd prefer to remain a well-guarded secret passed only by word of mouth, but we felt compelled to let anyone looking in the Exumas know that SBV is a top quality destination. I also wouldn't hesitate to say that it may not be for everyone. If you're looking for a big resort then SBV/Little Exuma probably is not for you. If you want to relax in privacy and explore a hidden Bahamian gem with your family or close friends you don't have to look any further. Our family of five (three teens/tweens) had the time of our life. The pictures on the website do not do proper justice to the true color of the water, which simply has to be experienced in person it is so spectacular. Our boat ride with Linton to a secluded beach for a day of meeting the resident iguanas, shell hunting and picnicking was a day we will never forget. SBV is off the beaten path, but if you have a little sense of adventure and are looking for quiet relaxation this should go right on your list of must see places in the Caribbean.
I've been traveling the Bahamas and Caribbean for the past 35 years and I have never experienced a vacation so perfect. I hesitated to write this review becuse of my selfishness to keep it a secret, but I owe it to the owners and staff to express my appreciation and gratitude for a magificent week in paradise. My family and I just returned from our third trip to Sugar Beach Villa, and once again we were totally blown away by its beauty, seclusion and comfort. The property is beautiful and the staff are wonderful people. Miss Glo keeps the place immaculate and make sure to spend some time with Captain Linton on the boat. He will take you to some of the most gorgeous private beaches on the planet and you won't see another soul (but possibly a few iguanas). This is truly some of the most beautiful water in the world. As lovely as they are, the photos on the website don't hold a candle to the real thing. This place is absolutely stunning and I'm going back. Salute!
