My Texas roots brought me back from up north in 1988. I have been enjoying this beautiful city with much gratitude every day. I am a Realtor by profession but my passion is my grandchildren. I love taking them to the City pool a block away during those blistering summer afternoons. Digging thru the multitude of vintage and antique shops nearby continually feed my age old passion of hunting for those special old must haves. So - If you are coming to enjoy Austin or looking at relocating here, it will always be my pleasure to help. That's me and my 35 yr old son.
This newly renovated loft is my guest house loft. I had fun residing there while the rest of my house was being renovated. It actually feels like a tree house as it nestles among oak and pecan trees. It's fun watching the trees sway and the squirrels and birds while being totally protected inside the loft. The property is so amazing and filled with history and character and I feel it is my privilege to be bringing it back to its original stature. The social nature of the neighborhood is awesome. The neighborhood deli a couple of blocks away as well as the grocery store gives it an old town feeling - right in the middle of Austin - its great! - come visit and you will experience a part of the way old Austin used to be.
The unique benefits are to numerous to list, but I will try. For starters - the Japanese and Sushi Bars are a delight! One of Austins original music venues - Threadgill's is less that a mile away. The unique Alamo movie and dining experience is less than 5 minutes away. The Saturday Farmers Market - a few blocks away- is also a delight. Just ask me and I will point you to so much more.
Really great little place! Very convenient location to get around from. Close to most everything. Can opener didn't work... had to abandon dinner prep in the middle and run to the store, but other than that, we really enjoyed everything about the place! It's beautifully designed. Very hipster Zen!
Terry's loft is amazing and in such a great area. I traveled with my mother and 7-month old baby and we all had a great time in Austin. We found it easy to get to major areas that we wanted to visit and stock up on some food from the nearby HEB. It was all really within walking distance. Brentwood park across the street was also so great! I was able to go for a walk with my little one and have him on the swings and exploring around.
This was our first time renting something like this so we weren't sure what to expect. But it had everything that you might need, and more, in the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. And, it all truly felt like a home away from home. Thanks for having us Terry and we hope to be back soon!
This apartment is complete in so many ways. The hospitality and availability of our host was incomparable. A two-story one bedroom with a great kitchen, a loft-like bedroom, and updated bathroom. Very clean and comfortable with nice welcoming touches like fruit and candied pecans. The location, while not downtown, was convenient and a quick drive to all the sites and entertainment. We enjoyed everything about Austin from the LBJ Library, the Blanton Museum, SoCo-especially the free happy-hour entertainment at the Continental Club. Most impressive was the genuine friendliness of Austinites--so welcoming, so outgoing--we'll cherish that aspect of our visit most of all.
Great location, quiet and cozy and clean. Terry does everything to accommodate your needs. We needed a couple of kitchen utensils and she was quick to get them for us. The bed was comfy. The negatives were the tv. Very poor quality although we only watched about four hours in five days. Also, the tv room furniture was not comfortable at all.
This is our second stay at Terry's home. It had everything we needed and a wonderful host. We look forward to our next visit!
This delightful loft was perfect for our 2-night visit to Austin. We spent our days visiting our new granddaughter and her family, and enjoyed our retreats back to this cozy home away from home. The owner is easy to work with and very accommodating. It was nice to find the pecan treats in the fridge and the fresh fruit and coffee were a plus. We look forward to renting this loft for future visits.
