Restaurants: Name it we've got it. Pizza, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Northern Indian, White table cloth, Fish, Wings, Mexican. We dare you to eat your way through New London! All are a five minute walk from 18 Starr. The city also offers , a Public Library the legendary Garde Arts Center and the oldest continuously operating Customs House which is now also a museum featuring the story of the Amistad crew. Well....that was the year it was built. We moved to New London from Mystic because we wanted a newer home...the house in Mystuc was build in 1828!

We are a simi-retired couple and will be delighted to share our home and city with you.

Frank McLaughlin purchased this in 1830

Clean, well located in a very walk-able city but near a transportation hub and I95. Did I mention clean?

Very convenient on an historic street.

New London is a quaint old industrial town and this is a historic home on its nicest street. There's a lot to do and see within walking distance. Frank and Lynda were extremely hospitable to us during our stay. We highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here for a week when visiting our daughter and son in law in August. It was such a lovely accommodation and the owners (Frank & Lynda McLaughlin) were wonderfully helpful and friendly. It was so easy to come and go and this helped to make our entire visit very relaxing We were within walking distance of downtown New London, the ferry and many restaurants. The property is even more appealing in reality than it is in the pictures...quite charming, very clean and cozy and well-maintained. Lynda's garden is just beautiful and a restful delight. Frank and Lynda were exceptional hosts. They respected our privacy, but were always ready to answer our questions about the locale or offer suggestions for activities. They even gave us great advice about the best place to buy a freezer for our daughter and son in law! We highly recommend this Starr St. property to anyone who wants a perfectly relaxing and delightful place to stay. We are planning to stay there again on our next visit to New London.

Perfect place, wonderful old home on a historic street in New London. Our son is in Sub School at Groton, the room was not far away, a quick drive and different stay then being in a hotel. Clean, host was very informative and close to train, ferries, and resturants.

Owner's Response: Thanks...we look forwartd to your return, perhaps when your son graduates from Sub school.

Great location and nice hosts! Stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 nights. On a Historical Street, the town is full of history. Room was clean and nice, accessible through side entrance, but not separate from the rest of the house. Yet this did not bother us in the least! Close to Mystic where we attended a family reunion.
Owner's Response: Great guests,we never saw them- must have been a great reunion!
