County Galway Vacation Rental : Letterfrack

The property was better than described. All the bedrooms were spacious and there was plenty of communal space - nicely split into separate areas.
It was really clean throughout (wooden and tiled floors only - so no smelly carpets!) and everything worked as you'd expect it to. Only the oven was poor. There was also access to a play area and go-carts for kids - and a safe area away from the road for them to play - all within the complex of holiday homes.
The village is small but has a really good general shop.
Scenery fantastic and lots of beautiful beaches - one on the nearby island of Inishbofin was unbelieveable and almost entirely deserted. Area good for watersports, beach horse racing meets, and mountain walks. The Connemara national park centre just a couple of minutes walks away has lots of kid centred nature activities.
Was a little worried beforehand that it was too remote / rural and there would be little to do for a family with youngish children; but we ended the week not doing everything we wanted to do!
Was expecting poor weather; however, it turned out fairly good all week - but you don't go to Ireland for the sun!
The only downside - it's a long, long drive if you're taking the ferries from Belfast or Dublin.
