We booked a flight during a killer seat sale, on a whim. We had no plans to take a vacay to Bermuda, as we usually plan our annual sunny destination get-aways, but we went for it. Are we ever glad we did.
I subscribe to HomeAway and I truly feel it's the way to go. Hotels can be costly, never mind dining out 3+ times/day. We love vacation rentals, as they are a way more economical and sensible choice. You have the freedom to be in your own space, cook your own meals and sleep comfortably in separate rooms. Hotels are generally not conducive to these luxuries.
This condo did not disappoint. It was decorated very nicely (with beautiful island inspired colors and the owner's original, tasteful artwork). It was also pretty spacious, very clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Christina, the owner, was most accommodating. She generously worked with our budget and even graciously allowed us to stay an extra night, at the same negotiated rate, when our flight home was cancelled, due to a tropical storm. We didn't mind at all to stay in Bermuda an extra night! Christina even greets you at the condo with the keys, information guides and any questions or concerns you may have. A very rare service offered by vacation rental owners.
We love traveling to tropical destinations with beautiful scenery and heavenly beaches, to escape the cold winters in Alberta, Canada. I very rarely have the inclination to return to the same destination twice, but I would absolutely love to come back to Bermuda someday and will definitely keep Christina's lovely condo rental in mind for future visits.
