Villa Belica makes a fantastic base to explore Slovenia’s enchanting Lakes Region. It is a traditional style Slovenian chalet with delightful terrace and garden, enclosed by forest on one side and offering a panoramic view of Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain on the other. It is situated on the edge of the tranquil village of Bohinj Polje just a few minutes drive or a short walk via a scenic forest path to the majestic Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests. The area offers a huge range of outdoor activities all year round both on and around the Lake - from fly-fishing to mountain biking, from kayaking to mountain walking not to mention excellent on and off piste skiing at the highly respected resort of Vogel and the smaller resort of Kobla, both just a few minutes drive from the house. The house is finished to a very high standard with wooden flooring and solid wood furniture sleeping 6-10 people in 3 double bedrooms.

Bohinj Polje is a quiet village of mountain chalets just a few minutes drive from Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests, considered by many to be the most beautiful part of a stunningly beautiful country. Several paths lead from the village into the surrounding hills and forests and down to the Lake. The Lake offers the opportunity for kayaking, sailing and rowing, as well as fly-fishing, swimming and sunbathing in the Summer. The mountains of Lake Bohinj are fantastic for walking and and the best place to start climbs up Slovenia's highest mountain, Triglav, not to mention for paragliding as well as skiing. The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best with good infrastructure and snow record. Also good beginner - intermediate level skiing at Kobla, 5 mins drive away in the town of Bohinjska Bistrica which also offers a modern water park with ample pool and spa facilities. 20 min drive away is world famous Lake Bled.

Skiing: The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best, with a beautiful setting, an impressive snow record and a wide range of shorter and longer on and off piste trails to suit all abilities. The smaller resorts of Kobla and Soriska Planina a short drive away also cater for beginners - intermediate skiers.

Golf: Bled golf course 20 minutes drive away is an internationally recognized course in a wonderful mountain setting.

Ski: Villa Belica is an excellent location to explore some of Slovenia's best skiing. Just a 5 minute drive from the house is the resort of Kobla which offers excellent beginner - intermediate skiing, and 10 minutes drive from the house is the gondola up to Vogel, one of Slovenia's best known resorts with a wide range of beginner to advanced level on and off piste skiing. Vogel is stunningly beautiful resort with views over the Julian Alps and down to Lake Bohinj. There are also opportunities for skiing at the small family resort of Soriska Planina circa 20 minutes from the house or further afield at two of Slovenia's best known resorts - Krvavec and Kranjska Gora (both circa 1 hour).

We were 4 young travelers and had a great time at Villa Belica. The owners were so helpful and were always there before, during and after our stay if we needed anything anytime. They gave great directions to the house and were very helpful.
The house on the inside looks very modern, clean, nicely designed and furnished, very comfortable beds and sheets, well equipped kitchen...
It is very well located next to lake Bohinj and about 25min from Bled.
We highly recommend it to everyone!

Villa Belica is an ideal place for those looking to have a lot of walking, hiking and skiing. The place is modern, well fitted and we were well looked after by the housekeeper Mirko and his daughter Nika who live closeby. In October, the villages and lakes were quiet and peaceful, just what we wanted. Bled has some outstanding golf courses and restaurants and a drive up the mountains from the villa led us to a no of villages with pristine beauty and peace. We loved Slovenia and will be back again for sure.

I don't have enough good things to say about this property and company. The descriptions were accurate, the place was extremely clean and well maintained and everyone we dealt with were friendly and helpful. The property is in a wonderful and quiet area that might have been hard to find if we had not gotten such excellent driving directions including pictures of intersections. It is right outside the National Park and about 15 minutes from Bled. I have already recommended it to a few friends.
