This immaculate 3 storey town house is situated centrally in the beautiful mountain village of Fornalutx which has been voted the prettiest village in the whole of Spain. A perfect base for a holiday to remember whether you are a keen walker or simply want to relax at the beach only a few minutes drive away. There is something for everyone. There are 4 good restaurants in the village itself as well as 3 bars, banks with cash point, small supermarket, pharmacy and gift shops. During the summer months there is live music and dancing in the square where you can sample freshly cooked tapas, wonderful cocktails and a fine selection of outstanding Mallorcan wines. If you are lucky you may be witness to one of the many festivals which take place throughout the year. The property consists of a spacious entrada/dining room, a modern, well appointed kitchen and utility room. There are 3 double bedrooms, living room, 2 bathrooms and a roof terrace with barbecue, summer kitchen and mountain views!

We all thoroughly enjoyed staying in your lovely townhouse, it was a superb place to spend new year. We felt the details and photos on Owners Direct were a true representation of the townhouse, so no hidden shocks! It was also lovely and warm in the house. All in all a fantastic place.

We are a family originally from N.Ireland but lived in England for the last 10 years. We came to Fornalutx on holiday about 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with the village and the whole area. We purchased this property and holidayed here for the last 6 years but always had the desire to make Fornalutx our home. Since April 2013 after buying another house in the village we have been lucky enough to make our dream a reality.

Neil and Julie purchased this house in 2007

We bought this house because it is so central in the village. It is only a few steps from the picturesque placa with its' bars and restaurants yet very peaceful as it is located in a pedestrianised old cobbled street. All the major renovation work had been carried out to a very high standard by the previous owners and the views from the roof terrace are stunning. The original features that have been retained and the quality materials used in the kitchen and bathrooms made it the only choice.

These can be summed up in simple terms: location, quality and comfort. With the added benefits of WIFI, satellite tv, aircon, heating, a summer kitchen on the roof terrace and quality furniture and furnishings it is not surprising we have guests who return year after year. To put it another way, staying here is rehab for the soul!

Wonderful holiday

We stayed in May 2009, and found the property to be of a very high standard, so close to the square and supermarket, furnished very 'french' style, just as I like, sky tv, loads of space, in very beautiful surroundings

Superbly located for local walks and visits to Soller, Port Soller, Deia, Cuber Reservoir and easy access to roads taking you further afield. The house is perfect for our needs - comfortable, well-presented bedrooms and living room, 2 good bathrooms but best of all, the roof terrace with superb views. Fornalutx is unspoilt, welcoming and in a stunning location. Great restaurants from traditional (Es Turo) to fine dining (la Cuina D'en Marc) to the best pizzas we've ever tasted (Calzone Pizzeria). Many more and all good! We're already planning to return next year.

Wonderful stay wonderful village wonderful house

Situated just off the village square in an idyllic village in stumbling distance of a few local restaurants and bars, a perfect base to explore the local area - Soller, Deia, the port and beaches Palma and more.

Wonderful walking and running in the area through the orange and lemon groves.

The house itself lives upto the pictures and is very tastefully furnished with lots of equipment making for easy living, unfortunately my wife has been inspired to do our bathroom after staying!

Thoroughly recommended as a place to stay, unless stairs are a problem, as the house is over 3 floors. Will stay again.

Stunning property in perfect village location

We had a wonderful week staying in this stunning property which is located in a beautiful street in the centre of the village. The house is very tastefully decorated and furnished and has all the facilities required for a relaxing stay. The weather was perfect and enabled us to enjoy both breakfast and evening meals on the roof terrace. We enjoyed early evening drinks in the village square most evenings after days touring the island. We hired a car as we planned on seeing as much of the island as possible, however we would have been just as happy enjoying walks in the surrounding countryside and coastal area. Our last night was spent at Restaurant Café Med in the village square, a small restaurant with wonderful food and excellent wine menu. We certainly intend to return soon to both the village and this property.

Perfection!

We could not have stayed in a better-located or more pleasingly presented house - the house is simply lovely, the owners have paid great attention to detail and it is very well equipped indeed.
This was our second visit to Fornalutx and we have already asked the owners if we could come back next year! The house is located on a pretty, quiet little street just above the market square and there are beautiful views across to the mountains from the roof terrace.
Fornalutx itself is paradise - so pretty and unspoilt yet with a super village store and some terrific restaurants - we have sampled them all! Restaurant C'an Verdera, Es Turo and Sa Aturada were our favourites.
Nothing can beat sitting in the square in the early evening, sipping a glass of wine and watching the children play under the watchful eye of their parents / grandparents before heading off for a fabulous meal on a restaurant terrace overlooking the valley.
We can recommend Port Soller (for swimming and mooching), coffee in Soller town square, the fish restaurant on the rocks above Cala Deia. a visit to Valldemossa, a walk around Cuber Reservoir, walking from the village to Biniaraix along the path on the other side of the valley but so much more to see and do.
We cannot recommend the village and this delightful house more highly.

Fornalutx is a beautiful mountain village surrounded by well signposted mountain walks to suit all abilities. We can recommend a guide if required. Cycle hire is available in nearby Soller 3km away. Segway hire is available at the Port de Soller. There is access to a pool in one of the village hotels for a small charge. A very good municipal pool is at the Paddle and Tennis club with clay courts found on the outskirts of Soller. The nearest sandy beach is Platja d'en Repic at the south end of Port de Soller - a beautiful bay lined with good restaurants, boutique hotels, marina and a good variety of shops. Daily boat trips and water sports from here. The village itself has tennis court, table tennis, basketball and children's playground.

Take the old-fashioned tram from Soller to the port for a day's sunbathing or the antique train from Soller to Palma for a day's shopping/sightseeing. Son Termens golf course is a 20 min drive away. Soller 3km - Saturday market. Deia is 20km. Valldemossa 20km. Pollensa 50km - Sunday market.
