Just sitting in this apartment and looking at the Eiffel Tower every night is worth the rental price!! We did Spring Break 2015 in Paris and this apartment was the perfect home base for the five of us (parents and three teen girls). Having two metro lines minutes away is reason enough to stay but the VIEW!! The apartment is spacious, well lit, clean and secure. The kitchen is well appointed and having a washing machine/spinner was very convenient. I have already recommended this apartment to friends and would definitely stay here again.
From the first moment to the last, I and my 2 friends absolutely loved staying at this apartment. The spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower and the balcony alone would be worth booking it! It is spacious, the furniture is comfortable, and there are ample linens. The kitchen was packed with everything you could possibly need. The location is excellent. The Passy Metro station and bridge across the river are a short walk away. Take time to continue up the stairs to enjoy the lovely town of Passy. Crossing the river leads to restaurants and shops, and the Eiffel Tower. A walk down the avenue in the other direction leads to the Trocadero museums, parks and fountains, and bridge across the river to the Eiffel Tower and Champs du Mars. Alexi was at the apartment when we arrived and even met us very early the morning of our departure for checkout due to our flight schedule. He was wonderful. I highly recommend this apartment, and would definitely stay here again.
You may be charged an additional 40 euro if you pay via the VRBO/HomeAway process as we did. The payment process is easy to use and secure, with prompt receipts and notifications. The Homeowners pay a transaction fee for this service, and this owner passed the fee on to us. By no means should this stop you from booking the apt! I only mention it so that future guests can avoid confusion when the final payment is due. This is a very minor detail when compared with the extraordinary experience of staying here. You will not regret it!
This is our first time in Paris for my husband and I. We traveled with another couple, great friends of ours in mid march '14 for our 30th wedding anniversary. This apartment is absolutely gorgeous! Very spacious and the location........ the absolute BEST! The Eiffel Tower is right across from you, with only the Seine River in between. We were greeted by Alexi and immediately made us feel at home. Kitchen very spacious with everything you need, even champagne glasses! The train station was very close and same for shopping and eating. We would definitely come back and stay here! It was an incredible stay and will forever cherished! Don't miss out on the Lady (Eiffel Tower) black out at 1:00am when they turn all the lights off at the Eiffel and switched to millions of blinking lights!
This apartment was the cherry on top of our first visit to Paris!
As nice as the photos are of the view, they don't do it justice. We stayed in the apartment for over a week and loved every moment of it. The living areas are very spacious and the bathrooms are functional and cozy. The kitchen was well equipped and it was great having a standard size refrigerator. While wifi is available in the apartment, I was unable to get a connection - but this was easily resolved going to either McDonalds or Starbucks.
The location was great from every aspect. Shopping was easy with grocery stores close on Rue de Passy (Mono Prix) and Ave. Paul Doumer (Franprix). Patisseries and boulangeries are on almost every street near the rotary up from the Passy metro station. The owner provides a shopping cart which was a huge help with heavy loads (love that French wine and cheese).
The Passy metro station itself is a 5 minute walk down the street and there are escalators going up to the station (but not down). Coming from CDG was easy taking RER B, transferring at St Michel/Notre Dame to RER C and exiting at Champ de Mars (apartment is a short walk across the bridge). There are some stairs in the station and down to street level on Ave. President Kennedy.
There was some noise from a remodel of the apartment below, but this was only during week days and should be completed soon.
The owner was wonderful to work with and even called to work through details. Check-in and out was smooth with no issues and Alexi even called a taxi for us. I would absolutely stay here again
This was an unbelievable stay in Paris. This apartment was amazing. There were 4 of use that stayed here and we were quite comfortable. I don't even think I looked at the apartment until the 2nd day because the view was so amazing. You can see the Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame, the dome.....the list goes on and on. The terrace/balcony is very spacious. As far as Paris Apartments go, I found this aparment to be rather large in both bedroom space, living space, and kitchen space. The 2nd bathroom was quite small. I am a rather smaller individual and I did have trouble my self taking a shower in there...but if you can always use the other bathroom to shower in. There is no air conditioning. However, we were there on both 80 degree days and 40 degree days and we were quite comfortable. If you hot just open the balcony and kitchen doors and let the air come through. If you are cold, the heat can be turned on. But even on the coldest days we were perfect.
We were met by our host Alexi and he was very helpful and polite. Check in and check out went very smooth.
There are two elevators/lift and a winding staircase to take you to the 8th floor. We found the bedrooms to be quite large and the beds and pillows to be very comfortable. The apartment was clean and very well maintained.
Pros during our stay: View, Space, Elevators, Kitchen, Functionality, Location
Cons: 1 of the showers is small, lots of early morning and evening construction when we were there- oh well get out of the aparment and see Paris!
I am sure that I will stay here again the next time I come to Paris. I don't think I could find a better place!
This apartment was very vintage but spacious. Upon checking in with Alexie, I told him the apartment was cold; he checked radiators and told us the heat was "on maximum." The amount of heat in this apartment for our week's stay wouldn't have warmed an ant. There was not any heat in bathroom 1 or bathroom 2, no heat in hall way or kitchen. Radiators were in living room/dining room and two bedrooms, but heat was virtually nonexistent.
We called Alexie the day after checking in, told him the apartment was cold, and he said again, "heat was maximum." We never saw him until we checked out the following Saturday and he make sure everything was in tact.
I wrapped myself in a blanket while sitting in the living room at night.
There were plenty of towels, blankets. toilet paper and an iron board and iron were available. Kitchen was well stocked with applicances.
The view was awesome and had the weather been more agreeable, we would have been able to sit on the balcony. This apartment probably had one of the best views in Paris. We enjoyed watching the boats on the river and the twinkle lights on the e. tower.
Shopping was close by and apartment was located in a nice area that was very safe.
I feel the pictures on the website were staged since the table cloth was not the one in the apt. and pillows were not on the bed like the pictures.
The apt. was moderatly clean, and there were finger prints on light switches and door frames.
The view was incredible and location was wonderful -- heat was the issue.
The elevator was very handy and it wasn't a problem taking the trash to the basement.
On a good note, Alexie was nice and polite and did give us a bottle of wine for us to celebrate our anniversary.
I would recommend this apartment probably in the spring and fall, but there are things that need to be overlooked.
