Eagle's Nest - A cozy, semi-lakefront cabin with hot tub, wood burning fireplace

The Eagle's Nest is the perfect, romantic getaway. It offers the ultimate in relaxation, while you sit back and enjoy the crackling of the fireplace, or enjoying a glass of wine while soaking in your private hot tub overlooking Shuswap Lake.

Slightly tucked away in the forest, hidden from the road, you can sit and enjoy the stunning views from every room of the cabin.

Our cozy cabin backs onto crown land so there is plenty of walking and hiking trails to be found, yet only a quick 6 minute drive to the town centre. Our beautiful and modern log home overlooks Shuswap Lake and Crowfoot mountain. We're very pet friendly so please bring your fur baby with you! The cabin has a brand new, cozy, log burning fireplace, an antique soaker tub, flat screen tv with Netflix, outdoor BBQ, outdoor smoker, a large fire pit with seating, games, extra blankets for those chilli nights, and of course a fully stocked kitchen!

We will email you with check in instructions after booking. If you're accessing our property in the winter time please be aware that it's quite a steep driveway and a truck or car with good winter tires is needed.

Just a short walk or drive down to a small, private beach, with kayaks to enjoy a paddle on the lake. *please note* This is a shared beach with other guests. During high water (usually from mid June to mid July) there is most likely no beach (unfortunately many beaches in the Shuswap disappear during this time as well)

Also, please note we cannot accommodate boats, or boat trailers.

Blind Bay views!

This cottage is adorable, and the outdoor area is amazing!! Fire pit, loungers, hot tub, and absolutely incredible views! I did yoga on the patio with the views, so nice. The dock is a trek down and up, but anyone with a basic level of fitness could do it. The dock does stay shaded until late afternoon. We loved it, very peaceful, and relaxing.

Amazing

This cabin was everything we dreamed of and more for our honeymoon. The view was perfect, the cabin was so homey and in front of the fireplace was the perfect place to sit and read. Leigh was a pleasure to talk to and when we had an issue with the circuit breaker, she had someone out to look at it within a few hours. The snow in the driveway was always plowed promptly and then sanded so we never had an issue with the steepness of the drive. The fireplace was always able to be lit because of the firewood that would magically appear next to the front door (we very much appreciated it!). I could not have been happier with our stay.

One word: WOW!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Eagle's Nest this summer. The views of Shuswap Lake from all of the windows at the front of the cabin are serene and breathtaking. A perfect setting whether you're chilling out on the front deck (very spacious), in the hot tub, or around the fire pit. The cabin is well stocked with pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay. A big bonus is the smoker - - hadn't used one before, but friends who came over for dinner one evening raved about the smoked chicken we made on it. Needless to say, I'm now in the market for a smoker. :) Leigh has carved out a lovely private beach with a dock just down from the property. The four kayaks were a huge hit with my daughter (11) and son (14). Nobody stayed dry... Leigh was very responsive to any inquiries we had during our stay. She was a fantastic host. We highly recommend Eagle's Nest, and look forward to returning there soon.

Beautiful and comfortable cabin.

We were a group of four staying at Leigh's cabin in Blind Bay. We had three nights there and had a great time. The cabin is very cute and comfortably furnished both inside and out. We appreciated the BBQ and picnic table, and well stocked kitchen. We cooked all our meals and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The walk down to the water is very short, and we never saw anyone else on the beach or dock - it felt very private. Check in and check out were very easy, and communicating with Leigh before arriving was also very easy. There were lots of games to play as well. A bigger coffee pot would be great - there is only a Keurig with reusable pods, so you have to make individual cups of coffee. If we had known ahead of time we would have brought a french press. Thanks so much Leigh for the hospitality, we are already talking about returning next summer!

Why they chose this property

Our cabin is the perfect getaway. Perhaps a girls weekend away! It's also perfectly set up to be pet friendly. Unlike other semi-lakefront homes, our cabin is situated farther back in the trees so you don't get the noise and disturbances from the road.

What makes this property unique

Please note this property is not waterfront. It is semi-waterfront. There is a short path through the forest to get to the beach, that is shared with us and our yellow
lab, Tyler. *please note during high water there is no beach (early June - July, depending on rainfall and snow melt)
