The pictures don't do this place justice. I was actually prepared to be disappointed because it was such a great deal.
It's right outside of Lahaina, which is nice because there are so many things in a short drive, but it's really relaxing and private. It's nice and quiet even though it's connected to the rest of the house, the owner's family is really respectful and doesn't bother you (although they are very friendly if you do see them).
It was nice to be away from the chaos and swarms of people at the resorts. This place is up on the hill in what seems to be a really nice neighborhood with very expensive homes on large pieces of property. The lanai is small, but has a perfect and unobstructed view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets. The place is really clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. Everything was great quality, and they had everything you could need - towels, beach toys, appliances, cooking necessities, crib, sofa bed.
We stayed at two other places in Maui, both were more expensive and not nearly as nice. If we go back, we are definitely staying here the whole time!
