Self-contained streamside cottage at Waimea Gardens is nestled in the lush foothills of the Kohala Mountains, just two miles from the charming village of Waimea and less than nine miles from the Big Islands most beautiful beaches.

Waimea is the perfect central location from which to explore the island's exciting diversity: volcanoes, white sand beaches, fine dining, waterfalls, horseback riding, Mauna Kea summit adventures, and Hawaiian cultural activities. The town is both bucolic and sophisticated -- the perfect place to get it all or get away from it all. Well-known restaurant critic had this to say about our restaurants: 'For a town of 8,500, little Waimea is turning into a culinary mecca. That may have something to do with the fact that it sits amid some of the state's best farms and ranches. Waimea is all about locally sourced food.'

The Kohala cottage has one bedroom/bath/kitchen, with sitting room that sleeps third person. Barbara Campbell has had a presence in Hawaii's travel industry for over 40 years, having spent 23 years as Kona Village Resort's Director of Sales and Marketing.

She has been well schooled in hospitality and the art of pleasing guests.

Charlie Campbell is a retired veterinarian whose days are now filled with golf, fly fishing, deep-sea fishing, and the daily vigilence of maintaining guest accommodations.
