Thanksgiving Family Get Together

Spent 4 nights in this beautiful home over the long Thanksgiving weekend from Wednesday night to Sunday morning. Since it was a family Thanksgiving get together (wife & me, plus our young adult daughter and son), we of course wanted to be able to put together a traditional turkey dinner with all the rest that goes with that. One of the features that drew us to this property was the kitchen as described in the VRBO info.

We contacted the owner to inquire about availability. He put us in touch with his daughter, who handled the rental details. Any questions I had, she would answer quickly either by email or phone.

The house was beautiful and the kitchen had "everything" we needed to make our Thanksgiving dinner. We had a wonderful weekend enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather of the Sedona area and hiking on the nearby trails (easy driving distance).

We had a lovely 2 week stay at what is more a home than rental property. The elaborate garden (for the desert!) was a treat for this gardener. The neighbors are all so friendly also! We enjoyed sunrise on the front patio and sunset on both front and back. The bobcat that visited the pond one evening was a special treat. Comfy beds and ample room for all. The large dining table was wonderful also! Kept games at one end and ate at the other. Had a magnificent thunder and lightning storm to top it off. Thanks Kristy and Wes for an easy rental experience and wonderful ambience!

Gorgeous Home

This home is absolutely beautiful. The pictures do portray it very well but it's even nicer in person. It's extremely clean and comfortable and very spacious. Had it been warmer when we were there, I'm sure we would have spent more time outdoors on the lovely patio watching the fish in the pond and admiring the views. The only recommendation I/we have, I was there with my 4 sisters, would be for mirrors to be provided in all of the bedrooms. Also, as another person commented, our cell phones did not work well in the house.

The drive to Uptown was a little further than I thought it would be but when you weigh that against the price, space and beauty of the home, we felt it was well worth it and not a problem. We'd certainly stay in the house again if we venture back to Sedona.

Gloriously spacious house in quiet red rock canyon

This house is absolutely beautiful, inside especially. Decor is phenomenal and comfortable... you wont be able to spend enough time here unfortunately. Even though you will busy seeing the red rock country, it will be a shame to not spend a day just enjoying this house and its amenities. Rooms were all spacious and comfortable and exquisite, from the huge TV to the comfortable beds, to the fireplace, to the koi pond, to the extraordinary master bathroom (you could almost spend 1/2 day just in there). Other minor notes- there is wifi, but cell service is pretty much non-existent. And truly unfortunate, is that the house has a great view out the back- but right smack into another house instead of a canyon or hill. There is a also a house directly across the front too- so the only real view of the red rocks is diagonally from the living or dining rooms... for all the effort put into the house, it is a small shame that the lot wasn't better positioned to enjoy the views. But it is a 10-15 drive to Bell Rock and the rest of beautiful Sedona, so small matter. Enjoy the luxury of the house for far less than a family could rent several hotel rooms, and spend the days driving to the vistas of Sedona- best of both worlds. Property manager was quick to respond with answers to questions.
