Kalkan - Kas area Vacation Rental villa

We stayed at the villa in July 2009. Our party comprised two adults and two teenagers. It was a really great holiday and ideal for us. The villa itself had excellent accommodation with a small but pleasant lounge area and well-equipped, open plan kitchen. All the bedrooms were light and airy and had mosquito nets (although we did not get bothered with mosquitos all), Having two bathrooms was very useful. The air-conditioning throughout was a blessing as it was very hot. However, it was probably the private pool that absolutely MADE ithe holiday for us, especially as it had floodlights to enjoy a late-night dip. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols as well as an outdoor dining area by the pool. The interior decor was simple and tasteful and we couldn't fault the service we received from the local caretaker who was on call to sort out any problems we had. Also the owners were really helpful and happy to answer phone enquiries prior to the visit. The Kalamar beach club is very close, but the area in which the villa is situated is hilly and walking back up the hill is a bit of a challenge! We didn't manage the walk into Kalkan as it was just too far in the heat, but we visited several times using our hire car. It is a good resort with plenty of interesting shops and good restaurants, many of which have great sea views. All in all it was a great holiday and we would recommend the villa wholeheartedly.
