On 10 acre mountain top, quiet with almost no traffic, but close enough to get on main highways and to small towns without extensive mountain driving. We enjoy all seasons from water sports in the summer to hiking in the fall and winter; all within the most beautiful mountain scenery in Tennessee.

The house provide enough room and comfort to satisfy everyone's needs from age 3-70. The well stocked kitchen provided everything needed to prepare our breakfast and dinners. The hot tub for 2 was relaxing. The kids enjoyed the loft while the adults enjoyed the comfortable bedrooms and 4 baths. The covered decks were heavenly during the rainstorms!
Use GPS (N 35.232834, W 84.431249) to get to correct location.
Using the street address will get you lost in beautiful Monroe County!! (But it is a beautiful 10 miles of steep mountain curvy dirt road!!)
Cell phone service is very spotty in the mountains. Verizon worked on the deck. ATT would not. BEWARE. Land line phone calls to anywhere beyond the next room are probably $$$ long distance!!
Thank you to the Foxworth's for their hospitality and great Customer Service. I am already looking forward to our next visit!!
My family spent 4 nights here. We had a great time. This house is big enough for the entire family with 4 separate sleeping areas or cozy enough for just 2.
The wrap around porch was great for enjoying the mountain views or star gazing from the 2 person hot tub.
We followed the owners directions which took us rite the house with out any issues. The owners are welcoming and friendly. They gave my husband and I a brief overview of the home then they left.
Great place. Great people.
Thanks for having us!
Great meeting place for large get togethers or intimate private getaway. Fantastic views, and amenities. Not a cramped cabin with noisy neighbors fifty feet next door and only 10-15 minutes to the river. Don't settle for a place. Stretch out! RELAX! Enjoy your stay! I have rented multiple times
and plan to return again.
My husband and I and our grown children plus a spouse and a brother in law spent a great weekend at this spacious chalet. The accommodations were more than enough for our group of six. The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked all of our meals without any problem. The decks are a great combination of covered and uncovered and were a wonderful place to relax. The hot tub for 2 is a great bonus. The beds were comfortable--there was plenty of hot water.
The owners were so friendly and helpful. They were there when we arrived to explain everything to us and make sure we had everything we needed.
We have Verizon and were able to make and receive cell phone calls. The best reception was on the deck. A land line and long distance card is provided for emergencies. Also, Dish Network WIFI was provided. Amazing any internet is available in this remote location! I had no trouble at all connecting. Not being used to satellite I had not realized I would not be able to stream video but I will download in advance next time and come prepared.
And there will definitely be a next time. We came away refreshed and can't wait to return.
** I was needing a place to stay so that I could bring my mom to see two brothers she hadn't seen in a long time, one living near Chattanooga and the other Tellico Plains, TN. Found this cabin on HomeAway's VRBO site, it was kind of in between the two places and it fit our needs perfectly! It had plenty of room for me, my mom, my two teens and my sister and her two children. The hot tub was a favorite for the kids! We grilled hamburgers the first night out on the deck. The view was beautiful. Very private, very peaceful! WIFI and satellite t.v. Beds were very comfortable. My mom and I stayed on the main level and shared a bedroom, my sister and her husband and my teen son had the two bedrooms downstairs (we rented the whole house), and the three girls enjoyed the bedroom upstairs (3rd floor). Since we are all coffee drinkers, my sister enjoyed having her own little coffeepot downstairs in addition to the one in the main kitchen. The cabin itself was very clean and had just what you need except for your groceries. Plenty of room for family to spread out!
**The area is very nice, the Hiwassee River is just minutes away, plenty of sight-seeing opportunities and activities nearby! AND about 45 minutes to an hour away, is Bald River Falls, which we enjoyed very much (just outside of Tellico Plains).
** The owners are very nice, very helpful! Even called once while we were there to check and see if we needed anything.
** We will definitely stay here again!!!!!
One tip: if you have AT&T you won't get good reception, but your family can reach you on the landline, plus the WIFI gives you great access to the outside world- so don't let that stop you from staying!
WOW! Just finished another fantastic week in Reliance. And for the third straight year, this chalet has provided my group of twelve the perfect homebase for all the activities the area has to offer. This place is private(can't be seen from any roadway until halfway up the driveway). The views of the clouds (fog) creeping through the hills and trees in the mornings and the afternoon thunder storms are well enjoyed from the large covered porches. The large open kitchen served three meals a day to all 12 effortlessly. The multi story lay out provided sleeping arrangements with proper privacy for guest ages 5 -75. Even though the mountain top is secluded, it's only minutes from lots of activities. Float, tube or kayak the rivers, Fish- fly or reel, wade or boat, river or lake. Druve or bike the windy roads. Fly a glider.Meet the people and shop the local towns or the Amish. Ride the train. Or even hunt down dead people(Genealogy and local history). There are tons of things to do here! And this chalet is one of the best I have rented so far.

Supplies for fly fishing, camping , hiking and rafting are available at several locations in this area..
