House: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms -- Sleeps 8 (Plus 2 infants)

YOUR FAMILY HOME IN LONDON: Free Wi-Fi - XBox(Wi-fi)

Situated on the edge of Zone 1, close to two Tube stations and with frequent buses to Waterloo, Westminster and beyond, it is the perfect base for a vacation exploring London.

Both Tube stations are a 10-minute walk away, or take the bus and be at Tate Britain, Big Ben, or Westminster Abbey in 10-15 minutes!

The house is situated in a safe, quiet, residential street and with space to spread out and relax (a scarce commodity in most London holiday apartments) it is perfect for families, couples, or larger groups. On quiet nights you can even hear Big Ben strike and the River Thames is just a short walk away.

The new American Embassy is being built nearby, very close to the impressive MI6 building.

Please note that this is a traditional British semi-detatched house, not an apartment. You occupy the whole house, so no noisy neighbours above, or below!

There is both a large supermarket and a smaller express supermarket 5-minutes away, plus cafés, delis and restaurants, all within easy reach. There are also twp gyms nearby to work off the calories.

The property has recently been totally refurbished and is supplied with everything you'll need to make your stay stress free and comfortable and cut down on your luggage.

There is a small, but fully-loaded kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Upstairs, are two large bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed and remote-controlled ceiling fans, a smaller bedroom with full sized bunk-bed and a family bathroom with bath tub and power shower.

Downstairs there is a shower room, a lounge with double sofa bed, ceiling fan and flat screen TV and a dining room (seats 8) leading out to a patio garden.

Baby cots and fold-out child's bed can also be supplied on request. The house is centrally-heated and double-glazed.

Linens, towels, bathrobes and 2 hairdriers are supplied.

The house sleeps 8 (in beds/sofabed, plus we can provide 2 extra cots for infants)

For relaxing at night, a selection of DVDs, CDs and Xbox 360 games are available (please ask, as we like to offer age appropriate films and Xbox games), as well as books and games.

Free Wi-Fi is available. Also supplied are two pay-as-you-go phones for you to use during your stay.

Some basic food stuffs to get you started are included, such as tea, coffee (instant, decaff and filter), milk, bread, eggs, butter, cooking oil, olive oil and condiments.

If you would like us to have your own shopping ready for you when you arrive we can arrange that for a small fee of £10, or you can order it online and have it delivered and we will put perishables in the fridge.

If you have any special requirements, please let us know and we will do our best.

Check in is 4 p.m. Check out is 10 a.m.

If you are arriving early, we can look after your luggage until check in time, so you can fit in some sightseeing.

We try to be as flexible as possible with arrival and departure times.

There is a total no smoking policy in the house, but guests may smoke in the garden.

Daily Parking Permits can be arranged, the current cost is £5 per day.

We are nearby, so always on call for any queries.

First of all, I'd like to say thank you to Jeff and Bev. They were very kind and offered almost everything we needed immediately. The place was warm, clean, quiet and peaceful. I stayed with 9 people here and we all say that we want to recommend this house strongly for people who are going to stay in London. Also, I definitely want to stay here next time I visit London again.

Comfort, convenience and value wrapped into one great house!

We stayed at the Southside House just after Christmas and cannot say enough great things about it! For London, the value can’t be beaten, and the location, while on the south side of the Thames, is actually very convenient to everything. There were 9 of us, and Jeff and Bev were very accommodating with sleeping arrangments, even bringing in extra bedding and mattresses to make sure we were all comfortable. They could not have been nicer and more attentive, and it worked so easily with having them right next door. We arrived on Dec. 26th when most of the stores were closed, and they had stocked the fridge with enough staples for afternoon tea and breakfast the next morning! It was so helpful to have Oyster cards and cell phones ready to go, but there were also maps, umbrellas, slippers, robes and toiletries for our use. We opted to get a 7 day travelcard, which I highly recommend if you have children, because you can hop on and off any bus or tube easily. The bus stop is so close to the house and gets you to Vauxhall tube and rail station quickly. From there, you can get just about anywhere, or even stay on the bus. Right near the bus station is a nice convenience store that even has fresh fruit for purchase. There are several others too, and a full grocery store only 3 blocks away. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this location and stay there again on our next visit! Thank you so much, Jeff and Bev!

Absolutely a fabulous house! Our Annual escape trip from the family was so perfect here!! Jeff and Bev´s house provided all we needed starting from brollies, Oyster cards etc. It´s super easy to get to the City area from the house. The house was very clean and even had enough of hot water for 9 ladies to shower! Jeff and Bev have consired everything you might need during your stay. A very very big thank you from all of us ladies!!! We´ll meet again, no doubt!

Wonderful house, wonderful vacation

Everything about the house was just right: from the minute we saw pictures on this site and read reviews, we knew that this is where we want to stay in London. When we arrived and first went in, we felt at home. Bev and Jeff put a lot of work into the place. It has everything that a traveller may possibly want or need. All little details are thought about. Location of the house is simply ideal, especially for families with children. A bus stop is nearby, and the bus takes you across Thames in just few minutes. A big supermarket is a short walk away. It is very quiet and peaceful. Almost hard to believe that you are in London. And, of course, the owners are always available to answer questions or to help with anything. We really enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave! It was one of the best vacations we had. Thank you, Bev and Jeff!
