Thank you for everything. We had a great wedding/family reunion in Aiken. It has been a while since all the cousins(1st & 2nd) got to spend quality time together. We loved using your apartment instead of the busy hotels. Your place is lovely and quiet. Thank you for everything.
My family had a great time staying in Aiken thanks to Jerry and his wife. He met us when we arrived to welcome us and to inform us that there were chocolate chip cookies waiting for us upstairs! They were very accommodating for us which is always wonderful, especially when traveling with kids. The apartment is upstairs with it's very own access via stairs on the outside. The kitchen was the perfect size with all the necessities for our stay. Actually, everything was the perfect size and just what we needed! lastly, the place was less than a mile from the downtown area and we easily walked there and enjoyed strolling around. We thoroughly enjoyed the rental. Thank you for our stay!
The Victotian cottage was lovely so clean nice linens pillows and mattress I will b coming back
This is the perfect location. You can walk to downtown, where there are plenty of places to shop and eat. We love the chocolate chip cookies that are present on our arrival. The place is clean and ready for us to settle in to enjoy our time in Aiken. You are also minutes away from Hitchcock park, which I highly recommend to take a hike if you love the outdoors. This is our second stay, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time.
I was blessed to be able to call this beautiful Victorian Cottage 'home' for 8 weeks. The house was cozy, comfortable and very welcoming. What makes this property unique and highly recommended is the owners, who stay on the property in the other cabin/home. They are beyond kind, welcoming, and some of the most amazing people I have ever met. I could go on for paragraphs about their graciousness, kind hearts, and loving personality, but I will refrain for now :) The only 'issue' with the property is the internet connection is not very strong, but I say this is minute in comparison to the all the positives about this rental!
My wife and I stayed here for a week (along with our small dog) and it couldn't have been better! Its a short 10-15 minute walk into town. Its a quiet location and the accommodations were wonderful! Clean and up-to date - Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living room, bathroom is up to date. We used just one of the bedrooms -- king bed. Quite restful and comfortable! Very private...
And the cookies waiting for our arrival were wonderful! We highly recommend and we will be back! Thanks again!!
My original stay with Judi & Jerry was in 2009. It was a first visit to Aiken and I was hooked. A good friend from Atlanta was meeting me there and we loved the idea of 2 bedrooms rather than staying @ a hotel. Plus, we had a kitchen to fix coffee and drinks and no interuptions so we could talk and catch up on each other's lives. We loved staying there and exploring fabulous Aiken. Hence, my second visit last week with a friend from NC who I had not seen in 7 yrs.
I immediately knew where we would stay, at the Victorian Cottage. Wow! It had been totally renovated and a washer/ dryer added. It is WONDERFUL! My friend and I love to walk so the 4 blocks to the town was nothing. Your hosts have lots of good advice for restaurants, places to visit, and fun stories to share. It is very convenient having them next door for any concerns you may have. Oh, one other thing the place is SPOTLESS and has everything you might need for a home away from home stay. Upon leaving I told Jerry, the next visit will be with my husband who has never been to Aiken. Shoot, we may even renew our vows in the wedding chapel. They have it all - even the kitchen sink! Enjoy your stay there!
