BAYSIDE COTTAGE IN ISLAMORADA

The lovely location and helpful owners made this the best holiday, ever! Because it is on the bay side you get amazing views. Sitting on the boat dock with a glass of something, watching the sunset it is hard to imagine anywhere more idyllic. There are some lovely restaurants very close by, follow Lori's recommendations for the best places. If you love fishing, or wildlife in general this place is perfect. My husband saw manatees right in by the boat ramp, and you can see fish, crab and lobster milling about in the water. Just a breathtaking location. We stayed in the bayside cottage and it is very clean, beautifully furnished and the bed is super comfy. Well worth travelling all the way from the UK for a laid back, beautiful, friendly experience, I can't recommend this place enough.

Wow! Best describes this listing. We loved everything about the Bayview house...where to begin describing it is the issue! The view from the screened porch looking down to the bay is spectacular, the house is spacious, impeccably clean, furnished beautifully, equipped with a side by side refrigerator including an ice maker and a dishwasher....spaciious kitchen with island and everything you need to prepare your catch of the day. The bedroom has a king size bed that is more comfortable than my own bed. Lots of ceiling fans and central air....all the comforts of home set on the bay. Just pack your clothes and toletries as everything else is provided.
The property is pet friendly with a huge, beautifully landscaped yard affording the best sunsets...the yard is so pretty at night due to the soft lighting on the trees and bushes. Then there is the tiki hut, built in grill, and 2 huge seating areas for outside dining. This area has a refrigerator filled with condiments for everyone's use and sink for quick clean up when you are done! Beyond that is a covered dock with another big table for relaxing or dining waterside.
The water around the dock is so clear and loaded with fish for great snorkeling or just cooling off with a swim after fishing. The water is lit at night for viewing the a variety of fish. Mike caught and released a Tarpon during our stay. He has fished his entire life yet the thrill of this catch is one he will never forget!
There is a boathouse stocked with floats, masks, fins and snorkels for use by guests. Also, available is 3 kayaks! What more do you need?!
Lori and Bobby, the owners, are amazing, sweet, kind and very accommodating. They work so hard and keep putting money back into the property to keep it beautiful.
This is our 2nd visit to The Bayside cottages. We have 2 Sheba-Inu dogs who love it as much as we do! Can not wait to stay in the Bayview House again next year.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Bayside Cottages in April of 2012 and we can't wait to return next year! The accomodations were perfect, and the outside space is incredible. We spent hours down at the dock relaxing, swimming, fishing and kayaking. Lori and Bobby were great hosts and gave us many recommendations of great local places so we could truly experience the Keys. Can't wait to return!
