Our classic Chicago apartment is located in a traditional brick and stone 2 unit walk up. It has been lovingly restored and updated to provide both a sense of Chicago's past and the comforts of today.

Lincoln Park is a vibrant area of restaurants, shops, parks and recreation. We are a 10 minute bike ride (less than a mile) from the lakefront and its many beaches, parks, and miles of paved path for biking/running/rollerblading . Excellent public transportation, the Fullerton L is a 10 minute walk, with brown/red/purple lines connecting to the heart of downtown Chicago,the world famous Magnificent Mile shopping, Millenium Park, the Art Institute, and many theaters and museums.

Within walking distance of Lakeshore Athletic Club and DePaul Athletic Center, both of which offer day passes.

Located 10 minutes from the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, Lincoln Park Zoo, and Fullerton Avenue beach. This is an excellent area for family activities as well as adult entertainment.

Local Highlights: This unit is located steps from Webster Place Theater, Barnes & Noble, Pot Belly and Starbucks and our favorite French patisserie Vanille . There is a tot lot on the block and several churches within walking distance. The neighborhood is famous for its many bars, restaurants, playgrounds, coffee shops and quaint and unique stores and boutiques. It is a clean, safe, active area.

1/2 block from Treasure Island grocery store. There is a Trader Joe's, a Dominicks and a Whole Foods within a 5 minute drive, and a Costco nearby.

Home features: This unit has beautiful hardwood floors, ceramic floor in kitchen and bath. Kitchen has a pantry and lots of storage. Dishes and silverware, a variety of glassware, and table linens are provided.

Better than expected!

What a great place! We stayed for a week (2 adults and 3 kids, ages 7, 9, and 13) over the kids' spring break and the apartment was just perfect. It was spacious, very nicely furnished, super clean and so comfortable. We had the younger kids share a bed but there was also an inflatable available, should we have wanted. It was great to have some staples already in the kitchen, rather than having to buy every single thing we needed. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom bright and the living spaces suited our needs very well.

The location was great; in a lovely neighborhood for a pleasant walk to the train but also super close to bus options or to jump on the interstate. The play lot across the street was a big draw for us AND there were several other playgrounds in walking distance. Also close by were a couple very nice restaurants, a big movie theater, convenience stores and groceries.

We truly enjoyed our week in Chicago, both getting out to see the sights and just relaxing in the apartment and exploring the neighborhood. We'll definitely be back and will hope to stay here again!

fantastic holiday apartment

We had a wonderful stay in Chicago and would like to recommend this facility to all who visit this fantastic city.

All questions prior to our stay (and there were a lot) were answered quickly and in depth. Our deposit was returned immediately on our departure.

We were welcomed at the apartment when we arrived and given keys and shown around. The accommodation proved to be spacious, extremely well equipped, homely and clean.

Jack and Rosemary gave us abundant information regarding the local attractions and amenities and made themselves available at all times for any problems or questions that we may have had during our stay.

The apartment was situated 2 mins walk from the local supermarket, which was in a complex including cinema and a variety of specialised shops and restaurants. The El was situated only 20 mins walk away, (but we cheated and took the car which we parked next to the El for access to downtown Chicago). Also only 20 mins drive from international airport, (unless you hit rush hour).

Great Location, Space

Everything for a perfect stay... easy access to shops, restaurants, public transportation and a Starbucks around the corner. We walked to dinner twice during our visit and had multiple choices! The apartment was well maintained, clean and very comfortable. Kitchen was easy to make quick meals (pans, utinsils, etc. - baked a pie for Thanksgiving dinner!). Would recommend this to anyone who truly wants to stay at a home "away from home"! Look forward to our next stay.

Fantastic place in great location. Apartment in good shape and everything you could want is there. Location is close to public transportation, grocery stores, restaurants and shops. Playground across street so ideal for families. I woudl definitely stay here on every trip to Chicago!

I stayed there with some friends in Mid November and could not have been more impressed. Very clean...well equipped and solid location. Walkable to the Lake but if that is not for you a very short cab ride to the Lakefront of downtown. Lots of restaurants and things to walk to. Playground for kids across the street.

Would rent this place again for sure.
