We are located on what many think is the most beautiful street in town....Privada Baeza... a dead end street off beautiful Juarez Park...just a 5 minute walk to the Rosewood, ten minutes to the center of town and behind a controlled gate in a private cul-de-sac. Kitchen, dining room, living room, office and three terraces - 2 with great views to the west and to the Parraquoia. The home is fully wired and comes with a maid/cook for 33 hours each week. She is an amazing cook who can shop for you as well. The home is very quiet and private. Unlike other parts of the city, rarely a barking dog. A great home to watch a wide variety of birds in the evening - as the sun goes down - from our fabulous rooftop deck. Life on Baeza is quiet yet downtown is only a short walk away. We are a gated community of only 6 homes.
I love Mexico and San Miguel......the road trips around the country are the best.

Best location in town....so tranquil but so close.
Long term rental available after 4/1/15 - contact to discuss.
This is a lovely property in a quiet area (relatively speaking as San Miguel is a festive town!) It was a great place to come back to and relax after a long day of walking or sightseeing. We felt very safe to walk in the area at night and only took taxis when extra tired or when it rained. The rooftop terrace has a beautiful view of the city-and the fireworks during the fiestas. The bedrooms and other rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Hermelinda, the housekeeper and cook, was a gem. She was especially eager to cook what we wanted and gave us several cooking "lessons" as we watched her prepare some dishes. Our Spanish improved quite a bit as she was very patient with us. I would definitely return again!
I stayed in the house for a month with my family. The house was clean and comfortable. The cook, Hermalinda, fed us breakfast and cena most days. She is a great cook and taught my wife how to make great flan and wonderful tomatillo salsa, which we have frequently at home in the U.S. Her guacamole is fabulous. She made it fresh every day and left it in the refrigerator for my kids.
The house itself is lovely. The beds are comfortable and the garden is a joy to sit in. We enjoyed the TV and internet. The house is roomy and well laid out. My kids are in thier 20's and thirties. They were really impressed. They loved the house and thought it really "cool".
You are quite close to town. It is really an easy walk through Juarez Park. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the main square. The neighborhood is really safe and the kids felt free to come and go as they pleased even into the late hours.
I will definitely stay at 1 Baeza Privada again and highly recommend it.
A UNESCO site, with nearly perfect weather year round, San Miguel's picturesque cobblestone streets and colonial architecture have inspired generations of artists. San Miguel de Allende also offers visitors and residents a vibrant and lively community of artists, musicians and writers and a delightful mix of Mexican folk traditions, fiestas and religious celebrations.
Shopping in San Miguel de Allende is a shop-a-holic's dream - plenty of Mexican handicrafts, boutiques, art galleries, and furniture and home decor to choose from.
Thousands of people come to San Miguel de Allende every year to learn Spanish, study art, or take Mexican cooking classes. The beautiful country side is a great place to take hikes or kayaking on the lake.
