Our Cypress Point Home is ideally located in the center of Kiawah Island. We are well inside the security gate and our private enclave of 17 homes @ Cypress Point sits in a lovely wooded setting. Recently featured in Ocean Homes Magazine ( March 2011), Cypress Point was included as one of the top 20 ocean island developments, highly regarded for its eco friendliness and preservation of the natural setting in which it dwells. This community offers security, great neighbours, and a relaxing Zen Pool for owners and guests.
Cypress Point appealed to us in many ways. Landscaped courtyards, bright well laid out interiors, the upmost in appointments, eco friendly, and the preservation of nature in mind.
Our home was completed July 2011. It is airy and well lit, and is decorated with Asian accents, a wonderful getaway for extended families uniting, good friends gathering, And significant celebrations.

I have equipped the kitchen for gourmet food prep with a gas range, electric oven, convection microwave, refrigerator ice maker, top of the line cooking utensils, and service for ten people.

Located at Turtle Point at the end of a winding road through a homogeneous enclave this lovely cottage is perfect for an enjoyable repose any time of the year. In winter the Kiawah population is at low ebb offering an even more private/personal experience. The cottage is beautifully decorated and is highly functional in its design with a large first floor master suite and bedrooms with bath on the third level. The description of the cottage herein are right on point. Of all long term rentals we have had this is in the upper 1%. This is a great property.
This was not our first visit to Kiawah, but our first for a stay on the island. Our families chose Kiawah for our Christmas destination and it was perfect. Our family of five stayed in this home and the in-laws stayed in another home. This rental had everything needed plus more than you expected. The home was comfortable, extremely well furnished. Our family has stayed in many vacation homes and this one ranks #1. This home is of newer construction and has a great floor plan. Don't hesitate to consider this home for your get a way.
The transaction and communication with the owner was easy and flawless.
We absolutely loved this house. Everything was exactly as advertised, except not enough justice was done for the kitchen and master bathroom. This was a true chef's kitchen. And the shower was amazing. Endless hot water with great water pressure. Wanted to spend my whole vacation in the shower. In the middle of Kiawah, so quick and easy to get to most points on the island. We look forward to visiting here again in the future.
My husband and I were looking for a new experience for our annual spring break vacation. We have spent the last 13+ years going to Florida and were looking for something new. We came across Bruce and Pauline's listing and decided to contact them. Their immediate response and the ease in renting this property was absolutely fantastic. They were extremely accomodating, efficient and friendly. Best experience ever in booking a trip. Now, on to the house. It was all the listing says it is, plus more. My husband and I took our 3 teenage children and my 72 year old father, as he/we lost our Mom on March 7th, 2014 and wanted to get him to go away with us. The house is furnished beautifully and very comfortable. We dined out and cooked in. Being there at the end of March, it was not really tourist season so it wasn't very busy. That was a bonus when going out to dinner and not having to wait. The temperatures at that time of year were slightly cool ( mid 60's to low 70's) but that did not stop us from hitting the beach and pool. We rented bikes which was great for the kids. Night Heron Park is a great family park, we understand the golf is outstanding ( didn't get a chance to go because of rain) and the dining facilities on-site were fantastic. Jim and I highly recommend this property AND the owners. You really couldn't ask for a better experience all the way around. We plan to go back!
Our second stay at Cypress Point did not disappoint.
The house is easy to live in, very well furnished and the kitchen works very well - instant hot water, good oven and stove top ad plenty of dishes, silverware and stem ware. the coffee maker works so well that we bought the same kind when we came home after nearly 5 weeks.
Great walking our dogs in early AM on River Course and Turtle Pt cart paths and actually saw a bobcat this year.
Enjoyed some good restaurants including Tomassos right down the block, Heges and La Tela at Freshfields.
Thanks Pauline and Bruce
We spent Christmas week in this wonderful house. We loved the island, the house was in a great location (easy walk to the beach, quick bike ride to the bike path). It was more than big enough for our family of 6, and was the perfect setting for our first trip to Kiawah. An extra special treat was when our adult kids hired a fabulous personal chef one night - Merrit Brady, of the Pampered Palate. The kitchen, with its island seating, was the perfect setting for this! We hope to return for another terrific vacation!
