Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This condo was beautiful, clean, stocked with more than I expected, safe, and a perfect location. Frenchmen was a couple blocks one way and the busy part of bourbon was a couple blocks the other way. The balcony was awesome! I didn't have a single problem checking in or getting in contact with Carol when I had a question. She was wonderful and had many great recommendations. Thank you Carol! I had an awesome time in NOLA!

Wonderful balcony!

  • 4 of 5

This condo's best features are the excellent location, and the huge covered balcony. It was lovely to walk everywhere, the French Quarter, Frenchman Street, and along Esplanade Ave. itself. The balcony was an entertaining place to watch the partiers below, but it was not near the crazy part of Bourbon St. After reading the previous reviews, I brought a white noise machine, and was glad that I did. There was quite a bit of noise that I was able to drown out with white noise. The bed was comfortable, but the pull out sofa was not very comfortable for sleeping, and sagged in the middle. I recommend the condo for 2 adults. We had 2 adults and 2 teens and it was tight, and we were charged a substantial amount extra for our two kids. We enjoyed the condo, and felt that the location and balcony made it worthwhile. Carol, the manager, was very helpful, and had excellent recommendations for the area.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. Let's set the record straight. I went over every detail of this condo with the guest before she accepted the reservation. She was well aware that once the sleeper sofa was opened it took away from the living room space, which is why I usually only rent it to family members. I discussed the fact the condo faces Esplanade Avenue which is a one way street in each direction separated by a huge median (neutral zone) with very large oak trees that are hundreds of years. If you are not used to a "city" you might not be used to hearing foot and street traffic, which is relatively light. I have re-read reviews going back over one year ago and can find no "comments" about "noise", so I don't know what she is talking about. This guest wrote an initial review insisting that the "bed" was not a Queen in the bedroom. I was shocked to say the least. That is a brand new Queen Bed purchased in January of this year. She took the review down after I contacted her and verified that it was a Queen Bed. NO ONE has complained about the Sleeper Sofa. I gave her a great deal for the extra guests because she was coming in with non-paying children (her teenagers). Sometimes, no matter what you do, no matter how much information you provide to a guest prior to arrival....and I can assure I had an extensive phone conversation with this lady (I don't rent to anyone without speaking to them first)..............You Cant Make Them Happy!! They will always find something to complain about. I recommend the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel or the Roosevelt Hotel for this kind of guest. Please digest her review with a Huge Boulder of Salt.

Great Location and Nice Condo

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this condo for 6 nights and we were very pleased overall. The condo is as pictured in the write-up. It had a lot of room, full kitchen and the balcony was great. We had our coffee there on the warmer mornings and watched people go by. Very friendly neighborhood. We were there over New Years and the Sugar Bowl game so it was a bit noisy at night but we expected that. It is on a busy street but you get used to the street noise quickly. Our only real complaint was that the bed was listed as queen but it was a double. My husband and I got married earlier this year so when we go away we always try to make it a romantic trip and we could not both sleep in that small bed. He is very tall and his feet kept hitting the footboard. We ended up splitting up and I slept on the pull-out and he slept in the bed. We made do but was a bit disappointing. Other than that I would definitely stay here again. Carol was easy to work with and we did not have any problems while we were there so we took care of ourselves. We walked to everything we could and did not drive as parking in New Orleans in general is a nightmare. All-in-all we had a great visit and will come back next year. Thanks :)

Perfect location, wonderful condo!

  • 5 of 5

We visited from 10/14/14 to 10/19/14 and this is a beautiful condo in a perfect location. It is tastefully decorated, has a comfy bed and is conveniently located so that getting around the French Quarter is easy. You can walk, take a pedi-cab or a streetcar. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

My family has been to New Orleans more times than I can remember but this is by far the best location we have ever stayed. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the French Market & Frenchman Street. We finished the days Sitting on the balcony with our "take out" dessert and people watching. I can't wait to return!

My husband and I stay here for fours nights and had a blast. This is such a wonderful place to stay. We lived on the balcony. We had coffee in the mornings it was great. Close to everything. We love that the store down on the next block was open 24 hours. It was also our 11th year marriage anniversary. My honey made breakfast for me. Walked to Mimi's that night for drinks.A great place to go that is three blocks down is a place called Buffa's and the Port of Call had good food too. Planning our next trip already:)
