Ah, the Upper East Side! With its world-famous museums, elite schools, luxury boutiques, and proximity to Central Park, the family-oriented Upper East Side is home to some of the city's most famous residents.
Our spectacular four-bedroom triplex apartment is now available for rent by the week or by the month. Let me describe it to you:
When first you enter the enormous living room, you will be dazzled by the Italian fresco on the high ceiling (an homage to Grand Central Station’s restoration) framing a huge antique Venetian Murano chandelier. In the center of the living room stands a working Vermont-marble fireplace with a French Empire mirror hanging over the mantle. Look out the window and view the 1000+ square foot, multi-level private garden with 5 person hot-tub spa.
Relax on the brown leather sofa or the matching loveseat with built in his & hers recliners, while listening to Mozart on the stereo or watching the evening news (Super Bowl or World Series?) on the 50” Panasonic Plasma TV set. (There are also handy DVD and separate VHS players). Not enough room for your company to sit? Well, there is also a red Art Deco sofa between the 8 foot high windows.
Our open kitchen looks out over our dining room, large enough for sit-down dinners for 10 or more. The art deco Heywood Wakefield dining set beautifully complements the new hardwood floors. And there is a wood-burning fireplace in the dining room, too!
The primary master bedroom overlooks the garden and has a private entrance to the garden via the spa room. This bedroom has a 25 foot wall of built in closets and dresser in addition to the lovely new cherry bedroom set.
The second master bedroom is off the living room and shares its 15 foot ceiling height. This bedroom has an enormous 8 foot by 4 foot sunny window facing south, and also boasts a Vermont marble fireplace.
In addition to this, there is a third child’s room together with a separate family/playroom/4th bedroom in the finished basement level, with a door and window to the garden.
And, of course, there is a second full bathroom plus a separate private laundry room for your exclusive use.
We have a similar luxurious four bedroom duplex apartment also available. We urge you to ask for further information.

I am a retired RN and my husband is a retired banker. We decided to raise our kids in the 'big city' so that we could give them all the cultural and social benefits that a giant metropolis like New York has to offer. We selected this property because it is in a great school district and is only a short walk to the hospital where I worked for many years. My husband commuted by subway in the morning, but always walked home from Grand Central Station every day.
Jane or Lloyd purchased this townhome in 1975
This house also has historic significance: it is just two blocks from Gracie Mansion, the home provided by New York City for all its Mayors. Mayor John Lindsay, our 103rd mayor, the one who coined the phrase 'fun city', ran his 1972 presidential campaign from this house. A few years later, we purchased the house from a former Deputy Mayor of John Lindsay's.
Our house is in Yorkville, a neighborhood originally settled by German immigrants. We still have several good German restaurants and bakeries to add to the hundreds of other restaurants as well. The neighborhood is so nice that the city maintains a private mansion for the Mayor just two blocks away. Be sure to visit his house, Gracie Mansion, when you come on your next visit.
Dear Mr & Mrs Levi,
We wanted to thank you again for a fabulous stay in NY. We all had a great time and the weather, as you know, was absolutely perfect!
John Mayo was very helpful, and we can see why you employ him!!!
Thank you again

Four couples stayed from Monday to Friday. Furniture and furnishings bought used from third-rate motel. Kitchen, etc., poorly supplied (e.g., not enough waste baskets). One of the bedrooms (tiny) was the dining room, such as it was. So, we ate perched in the smallish poorly-furnished living room. Property manager surly and not very responsive. On the whole, barely adequate.
Took my wife and daughters back to NYC to celebrate birthdays in Sep 14. Although a bit pricey for our budget, I am so glad we stayed at Lloyd and Jane's home on UES...I say "home" because that is how it feels. John the property manager was prompt and thorough, upon both our arrival and departure...perfect amount of privacy/availability balance during our stay. The home is very clean, quite spacious for NYC, and is a unique property that can suit large parties...the neighborhood is quiet and captures the essence of UES perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this property for people looking to experience the quieter (best :) side of Manhattan. Thanks again Lloyd, Jane, and John! We'll be back!
This rental is perfect for a large group! The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal: quiet at night but vibrant during the day, close to Central Park, close to public transporation and many restaurants and shops within walking distance.
The Carl Schurz Park a couple blocks down was very pleasant. Lots of playgrounds there for little ones.
The communication before and after (we left something behind) with the owners was great. They were attentive to our questions and prompt with replies to all our emails.
Highly recommend this rental! We plan to stay there again in the future!
I stayed here in July 2013 with a group of 8 Canadian teachers who were celebrating a retirement and some special birthdays with a trip to New York. We loved it. The house is conveniently located a short distance from the Lexington subway line (easily accessed by surface bus) in a beautiful safe neighbourhood not too far from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Gracie Mansion. There are a number of excellent pubs and restaurants within a few blocks and it is close to a beautiful park on the East River. There were enough bedrooms and beds for 2 couples and 4 single people (3 women and 1 man) and 3 bathrooms (with showers and laundry facilities) were enough for the group. The house was clean and inviting with lots of charm & character, and the owners & caretaker were very helpful. It was a great place for a diverse group to come and go at will during the day and then meet up in the evening in the spacious living room for a drink before heading out to dinner. For some skeptical members of the group it was their first experience with a vacation rental and we all loved it. We would definitely come back.
I live in the neighborhood and reserved the townhouse for three nights for a cousin reunion. It was great to have my family close by and not in some midtown overpriced hotel where there would be two to a bed. The townhouse enabled my family to experience what it is like to live in NYC and enjoy neighborhood restaurants and bars. The caretaker was friendly and accommodating. The location gives many transportation options - bus, subway, taxi.
The triplex rental was spacious, comfortable and close to many NYC sites. The convenient location made it easy to take the subway, cab or walk to our destinations. Central Park along with many museums were within walking distance from the rental. The owners were friendly and willing to answer the many questions we had from transportation to closest grocery stores, etc. We arrived on a really warm day and it was nice to have the place cooled with air conditioning. I appreciated having a washer and dryer to use. There was a hot tub but it was rather warm out, so we did not take advantage of that perk. We used the private garden area almost every morning enjoying our morning coffee. And again when we returned from our daily events. We all had so much fun and would stay there again.
