What a great place to stay while visiting NYC!
Dealing with the owner, Paule, was a pleasure as she was available to answer all of my questions with detailed answers. Upon arrival, we were met by Mariano, a charming gentleman who was the apartment manager. These two people made our stay in NY an enjoyable one. They responded to all of our requests in a timely manner and made us feel at home.
The apartment itself is just as it looks in the pictures. It is clean and spacious and has all the amenities of home. My husband and I were looking for a place that was quiet, safe, central and had a comfortable bed to accommodate our back problems. This apartment met all of our needs. There are a few flights of stairs to climb to get to the apartment, but once you get to it, the place has an entire floor to itself. I did not hear any other neighbours during our stay and it is located on a pedestrian street which has security guards patrolling the area 24/7.
One problem we did encounter was with the air conditioning unit. It stopped working twice. It was not working when we first arrived on a Saturday. They were not able to have it fixed until Monday. The second time it broke it was fixed the same day!
There is a Whole Foods two blocks away and a convenience store a few doors down the road. The location of the apartment was perfect for us. It is steps away from the subway and a 10-15 minute walk to Times Square and the Theatre District. My husband and I love to walk, so we spent most of the trip walking everywhere! From the apartment we were able to walk to places including: The Empire State Building, 5th Ave, Flat Iron District, Greenwich Village, SoHo, Chinatown, Little Italy, Downtown and many more places. (Downtown was located the furthest away from the apartment and took about an hour to walk there). Cabs are everywhere in the city so taking one was also very easy.
We had an amazing vacation and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to NY!
