The Banks Road Estate is a luxurious beachfront estate on 60 acres of landscaped grounds. It consists of two large and elegant homes, each private, but just 200 yards apart. The estate sits on 1200 feet of spectacular and private pink-sand beach. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves lapping on the shore, and awake to sunrise over the ocean. Relax in the pool or on our perfect and very swimmable beach, or snorkel the nearby coral reefs. There is excellent snorkeling right off the beach. Enjoy drinks or a meal on the broad patio overlooking the beach, or rest in the hammock. You and your guests will appreciate the luxury and total privacy of an extensive estate without a single neighbor in sight. Banks Road comes with daily housekeeping Monday through Friday. Weekend housekeeping is optional, as are private chef, masseuse, snorkeling and fishing guides, wedding/party set up, and grocery pre-stocking.The estate is located on Governors Harbour's Banks Rd., the premier location on Eleuthera.
Banks Road Estate consists of two elegant homes separated by 200 yards of lawn and garden. The Three Bedroom Villa is a dramatic, Moroccan-style estate home with 3500 square feet of living space and a private pool. It’s located just steps from the beach. The large living room features satellite TV, DVD/CD players, and plenty of room for entertaining. The adjacent study is equipped with high-speed internet, fax machine, telephone, and printer. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for you or your private chef. The master bedroom suite features a king bed and en-suite bathroom. There are two guest bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with twin beds, with a full bath between them. The third (half) bath is located off the living room, as is the laundry room with washer and dryer. The villa has a large patio overlooking the ocean. Other amenities include AC, ceiling fans, iPod dock, safe, outdoor barbecue, beach chairs, paddle board and two double kayaks.
The Six Bedroom Villa, also located just steps from the beach, features 3 king bedrooms and 3 queen bedrooms. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a private deck or balcony. Four of the bedrooms have direct ocean views. This villa also has a full kitchen, dining area, and living room. A large furnished patio overlooks the beach and gardens. There is also a half bath off the living area and a laundry room with washer and dryer. Amenities include an Apple desktop computer, air conditioning, ceiling fans, iPod dock, safes, beach chairs, beach towels, and an outdoor shower and tub.
Tippy’s famous beachside restaurant is just 5 minutes away by car. Other nearby restaurants include The Beach House, Sky Beach Club, Cocodimama, and The Buccaneer.
The town of Governors Harbour, less than ten minutes away by car, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed.
The island of Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The island, home to just 8000 residents, is completely safe any time of the day or night.
