Our ground floor Royal Garden unit has one of the best views of the historic Moir Cactus Garden created by an early sugar plantation manager's wife in the 1930's. This exquisite garden has been listed as a top 10 worldwide garden in its category.
Before getting into a detailed description of our beautiful Kauai condo, it is important that all Rental Inquiries Contact Owner about Rate Updates!!!, They Vary Seasonally and sometimes Monthly.
As for our unit, it is located in building 38, only a 4 to 5 minute walk thru beautiful orchid and cactus gardens to one of the top 10 rated beaches in the United States (Travel Channel, 2011) and the world (Forbes, 2011). Paradise is yours in this delightfully colorful and bright unit, which underwent a complete bathroom remodel in September, 2011 with a new tiled shower, new vanity with granite countertop, and new mirrors and recessed lighting. Other new features recently completed are new paint, reupholstered Hawaiian furniture, new Cal-King bed, upgraded interior decor, new electric stove and microwave, new CD stereo sound system with I-Pod/I-Phone deck, new computer desk and chair, two new flatscreen TV's with Blu-Ray disk player and a closet full of boogie boards, snorkle gear, swim goggles, beach chairs, beach umbrella and beach cooler. The condo is very clean, comfortable and in easy walking distance to nice restaurants and cocktail lounges. A new gas barbeque island (two grills) is only about 60 feet out the front door for those (like myself) that love to grill things.
Kiahuna Plantation is the only beachfront resort in Poipu. Most of the other nearby luxury hotels reside on beaches with little sand and lots of lava rock. The white sand beach (sometimes complete with Monk seals and sea turtles), is backed by green lawns, palm trees and tropical gardens and is a perfect place to relax or enjoy swimming, snorkeling, boogie-boarding, surfing or reading in the shade under the palm trees. Towels and chairs are complementary at the beach-side activity hut. Even though our condo provides some beach friendly equipment which will save rental fees at the Beach Hut, it is important to keep them clean and in good shape after use so that they are available for future guests.
Condo 304 is rated high by our association for interior content and cleanliness and features a king-sized bed with a very comfortable mattress, a queen sleeper/sofa, the already noted new stereo system and computer station, two flatscreen TVs including one in the bedroom and a large screen in the living room, Blu Ray disk player and free Wi-Fi internet. We have also added an aerobed and Pack N Play crib/playpen to give our guests with families more sleeping options. This Royal Garden unit also has a full kitchen for those who like to cook their own meals and save money for the more important stuff (i.e. visiting the many island attractions). The kitchen has all new kitchenware and utensils, a nice big refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, an amazingly quiet dishwasher, an over-the-stove microwave, and two new coffemakers. Other amenities include an interior dining room table with four chairs, the comfortable sofa-sleeper with two equally comfortable side chairs, a large coffee table with two end tables and a huge lanai (160 square feet). The entire unit contains ceramic tile flooring which is really cool on your feet and comfortable on hot days. Ceiling fans are located over the bed in the bedroom and between the living and dining rooms. The absolutely fabulous lanai, that overlooks the Moir Cactus Garden, includes a table with four chairs and two lounge chairs with an accompanying table. The world famous Moir Cactus Garden attracts many colorful species of Hawaiian birds (some of which are quite friendly) while also discouraging use by the resident Kauai roosters that don't understand the term 'quiet hours' in other parts of Kiahuna Plantation. This fact, along with the condo's position away from Poipu Road results in a very quiet and relaxing setting.
Building 38, that houses condo 304, is located right across the street from the entrance to the Poipu Shopping Village with its many shops, a general store, and nice eating establishments. The latter includes Keoki's Paradise, Roy's Poipu Bar & Grill, Papalani's Gelato and Puka Hawaiian Dogs. Just down the street is is Kiahuna Plantation swimming pool complete with water slide, behind-the-waterfall romantic cubbyhole, a shallow sandy end for the little ones, and all with pool side cocktail service. About 100 feet out the front door of the condo is the very convenient Plantation Garden restaurant and lounge. Just a short stroll down the beach is the Marriott and Sheraton which also have restaurants and cocktail lounges which are open to Kiahuna Plantation vacation renters. Kiahuna Plantation 304 fully embodies the famous real estate saying of location, location, location.
We also want to let Kiahuna 304 guests know that they have full access to all of the amenities of the Poipu Beach Athletic Club when you stay at our condo! Besides the awesome swimming pool and great tennis courts, the Club just added a brand new, indoor/outdoor fitness center featuring 14 cardio machines and a complete weight lifting circuit with 16 different machines to work the entire body.
We have an agent (Castle Resorts) on site that maintains a 24-hour front desk and a full-time maintenance staff. They are always helpful and at your disposal.

Thanks so much for a wonderful place! The atmosphere was perfect and the location was awesome! We had the perfect vacation compete with sea turtles, monk seals, and roosters! We spent most of our time on the fabulous beaches! I got beautiful photos & memories to cherish always! The beach gear was much appreciated as I snorkeled for the first time and it was awesome!! We are sad to be headed back to reality!! but looking forward to our next vacation already.
My wife and I are just regular working people that happen to live in Alaska. I am a geologist and my wife works in the transportation industry. We fell in love with Kauai and Kiahuna Plantation many years ago during an anniversary vacation. We vowed that if an opportunity to purchase one of these fabulous old plantation-style condos at Kiahuna arose, we would jump in with both feet. Well that opportunity arose and we are now getting our feet wet.
The need to find some vacation place away from the hustle and bustle that often characterizes many places in the lower 48 states and the more populous islands of Hawaii. Being from Alaska, we are quite familiar with vacationers, although our visitor season is quite a bit shorter than here on Kauai. We understand what people like and dislike and we will strive to meet the high standards that visitors expect as we would ourselves whenever we vacation away from home. Kiahuna 304 and Kiahuna Plantation is such a place. We know that future guests will love our condo and the island of Kauai as we already do.
The obvious answer here would be the warmth, being from Alaska, where a 70-degree day is hot. But it is much more than that. We love the relaxing laid back atmosphere, the quiet, the friendliness of the Kauai residents and the too many to mention attractions, both scenic and historic. Did I mention the beach and warm water, something that is in quite short supply in our home state!
