Thank you for your interest in our home. The house is located near the intersections of Mason and Union Streets within the neighborhood of North Beach/Russian Hill/Telegraph Hill. It is one of the liveliest in San Francisco. There are many restaurants, coffeehouses, pubs and cafes within 2 blocks of our house. It is also within walking distance to many of the best landmarks in the city, i.e. Transamerica Building, Lombard Street, Coit Tower, Nob Hill, Fishermen’s Wharf, Ghirardelli’s Square, the Embarcadero, etc.
There is great public transportation near, buses, cable cars and streetcars. The famous Mason/Powell Street Cable Car Line stops on the corner just outside the house. Because of the house’s prime location, taxis are readily available from just about every corner.
From the garden roof deck, there are picturesque views of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island, Angel Island and Sausalito. The house has a total of 1800 square feet of interior space divided between 3 floors. The living room and eat-in kitchen are on the entry floor with a master suite and smaller bedroom above. There is also a complete suite with full bath on the level below. The two larger bedrooms have queen beds; the smaller bedroom has a full size bed (there are no convertible beds at this property). All bedrooms have televisions and clothing storage. Beds are made with fresh crisp linens. Towels and basic toiletries are supplied.
Upon your arrival, a bottle of chilled champagne for you and your guests. As well a few complimentary snacks, and beverages such as coffee, juice, soft drinks and sparking water are always provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils should you want to prepare your own meals. Major markets (Safeway and Trader Joes) are within 5 blocks of the house. There are also neighborhood markets and food shops even closer. Our favorite bodega is right across the street.
The property does not have a garage however we are happy to obtain a Visitors Street Parking Permit for use during your stay. The permit allows you to park for unlimited times in the residential area’s of North Beach, Telegraph Hill, Russian Hill, Fisherman’s Wharf and some area’s of Chinatown. There is an additional fee is $50. There are also several parking garages only 1 block away. They charge a daily rate of approximately $25.00
