Best Christmas Ever
We decided to vacation in Costa Rica for the first time over Christmas 2012. Even though we did not stay in Angela and Vince's unit, Angela was extremely helpful in finding us another unit available for our stay @ Villa La Colina . Angela was also very helpful in giving us suggestions for things to do in the area. One of her suggestions even became our favorite beach on our trip. The condo was clean and very nice. Everything was in good working condition and my family of 5 felt we had plenty of room.
A couple of very small complaints. The bathrooms are poorly lit and have no circulation, but this is really not a huge deal. We also had to buy a pot for the condo that was big enough to cook for a family of 5. The dishes provided are more for preparing a meal for a couple. The pot cost us $27US. We stayed in the third tier, and it is very steep to get up and down from the condo, I would suggest you rent a car or golf cart if you stay here. I have come to realize everything is steep in Guanacaste, but getting to the beach or to town from this condo would be quite a hike for us flat landers.
Now for the more than Awesome things... Having the washer/dryer was great. A/C in all the rooms was great. Even though it was in the low 90's the entire time we where there, we did not use the a/c very much though. I cannot say enough about the security team onsite, especially our night guard. They where on top of things for sure, and we always felt very safe. Tito is the property maintence manager. He is a great guy and friendly. We had a great time hanging out with Tito, and getting good suggestions for our next days adventures. Brian, I believe is the HOA president, he also was very nice and helpful. My children lived in the swimming pool, when we where at the Condo, it was perfect. Our # 1....we loved getting up at 5 am and watching and howling with the howler monkey family in the back of the building... We counted a total of 7, of them, one being a baby, probably about as big as softball...cutest thing ever!!
All in All, this was the best family vacation we have had. We believed the Villa La Colina was a great fit for us and Guanacaste offers plenty to keep all ages very busy and having the time of their lives.
