Very Good Vacation Stay

My Wife and I recently spent 11 days in New York for our anniversary. We scoured Home Away, VRBO and FlipKey for the right place to stay. We had eventually narrowed it down to a top five locations and eventually decided on this property. It is extremely close to the C train, just about a block and a half. It's also just a couple of blocks from a grocery store and various fruit stands, fish markets, etc.

Lower Manhattan is only about a 20 minute train ride and there are many opportunities for transfers all over the city (you can get to Williamsburg by catching the L four stops away).

The neighborhood is very friendly and accommodating. People are very respectful and always willing to help if you are looking for something. The photos and description are accurate, and the host is an extremely good communicator. My only gripe is that I kept hitting my head on the light fixture in the kitchen but that's probably my own fault for doing the same thing every time and expecting different results. There is street noise, including a train, but you get used to it in less than a day (and it's New York, you're going to have street noise).

I would definitely stay here again.
Owner's Response: Andrew,
Thank you for choosing to stay at pour apartment-it was a pleasure accommodating you and your wife! Looking forward to having you over on your next visit to NYC!

My apologies, and we appreciate your feed-back re: the light fixture height, we will adjust it right away.

A wonderful, cozy, and updated apartment in a historic home close to Manhattan! My friends and I travelled to NY for a week and were trying to find a perfect, or at least, close to perfect place to stay, without going broke paying for super overpriced hotels.
My friend found this apartment, and until today we are very grateful to her for that!
The place is extremely cozy, with a lot of space, renovated kitchen, bath and pretty much brand new furniture - can't get any better!
The apartment is located in a historic home, close to subway, which takes you directly into Manhattan.

The owners are very nice and helpful! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of wine and were provided with a lot of useful information about the city.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who travels to New York and would like to stay in a comfortable place for a split of the price that they would've paid in any decent hotel in the same proximity to Manhattan!

We are definitely coming back ourselves!
