3 cable tvs, a dvd, stero and wi-fi will keep you connected to the world. New HD TV in the living room and wi-fi cable updated to BLAST speeds.

Hot tub adjusted to your temperature is pure luxury.

Game room includes billiards, darts, and board games.

Outdoor grill and outdoor tables are at your disposal.

Walk-in closet plus 3 more closets in the unit.

Full central heat, air conditioning and humidity control.

Full refrigerator, stove, micro-wave and dishwasher.

Can provide some homemade meals at a reasonable price.

Will help you with orientation to the whole area.

International Hosting Experience: We have lived in Arizona for 15 years. Previously we lived in New Jersey on the east coast. There we hosted students and families from 10 countries including Germany, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Costa Rica, Chile, Tunisia, France, Japan and New Zealand.

We look forward to helping people from all over the world to have a wonderful experience in our new beautiful state.

Things To Do In Arizona: We are less than 2 hours from the capitol of Arizona, Phoenix.

Northern Arizona offers the Grand Canyon, Sedona and a whole different experience from southern Arizona.

In Picture Rocks, where your house is located, we have the picture rocks inscribed by Indians long ago. We have a miniature horse farm and miles of dirt roads and trails. Also roads to the east and south go through Saguaro National Park West.

A wondrous drive east through Saquaro National Park, you will drive over a hill and view the Tucson valley before you. 15 minutes to the major highway will take you to all the activities in Arizona.

However, the premier Tucson attraction The Desert Museum, and also Old Tucson Studios are in our valley, the Avra Valley, which supplies most of the drinking water to Tucson.

Besides these my favorite visitor sites are The Biosphere, Mt. Lemmon, Sabino Canyon, Kitt Peak Telescopes, Katchner Caverns, Tombstone and Bisbee.

Why Owner chose Tucson

It all depends on what you are looking for. If you want to really feel like you have lived with nature and the Saguaros, this is the place for you. I have recently put in BLAST cable internet service and HD TV and warmed up the hot tub for you.

What makes this house unique

This reminds me of family Bed and Breakfasts in Ireland in that if you want the personal touch and information I am here. However, if you just want to do your own thing, just leave the key in the kitchen when you leave. I have never experienced all that your guest house offers, or the space. I guarantee you will be impressed.

Your property backs up to 1 sq. mile of virgin desert.

Although our address is Tucson, we are on the other side of the Tucson Mountains and Saguaro National Park West. We are in an area so much more beautiful and special. The air is fresher and your desert views are spectacular. Sit on your deck and watch all sorts of desert animals and birds coming to our 'watering hole'. You back up to one mile of open desert of saguaro, all sorts of other cactus, and Palo Verde, Mesquite, and Ironwood trees. Their are trails that you can access from our backyard. Tucson is a top cyclist destination.

We're also convenient to all Tucson attractions, especially the Desert Museum and Old Tucson.

Notes: Game room with pool table and dart board is attached to, but locked off from the main house. Washer, dryer and fax are in the main house and available when an owner is home. You can enter the guest house directly from the garage which is separate from the main house. Our three dogs use the fenced in backyard. If you do not like dogs they will be brought in when you are going to use your patio, grill or hot tub. Your patio can be temporarily fenced off if you so request. Access to your house would then be through the garage only. You will be given a remote control. They are two Westies and a lab mix.

A retreat where the desert comes to you

My wife and I were looking for someplace that would serve as a comfortable "base" for our forays into the desert. We have visited other places around the country and found we are very good at working with a minimum of space as long as it has a kitchen and a comfortable bed. Pat's place looked good online and we were intrigued by a location outside of the city, something we hadn't considered. Suffice it to say that we could not have been more pleased with our choice. It is spacious, the kitchen is huge, the bedroom ideally located with an enormous walk-in closet, and there’s a space with a desk for your laptop if you have to bring it.
The description was accurate, directions straight forward, and we found the house to be neat as a pin and very well maintained. By our standards Pat is a lovely host, leaving us to our stay but attentive to anything we might need. We found her warm and very generous, wonderful to talk with and respectful of our privacy.
In this place we found the desert had come to us. Gambol Quail skittered just outside our bedroom window along with desert hare and cottontails and we watched a glorious full moon rise over Panther Peak.
Stay here if you really want peace away from the din of the city. Stay here if you love hiking in the Sonoran Desert, literally steps away from the Saguaro National Park West. Stay here if you would enjoy the company of two Scottish terriers and a Pekinese character named “Butter Bean”. Stay here if you love the desert first, and Tucson second.
We cooked most all of our own meals (dietary needs) but didn’t mind the scenic 15 min. drive through the National Park into town. Returning from a day of hiking or visiting museums or Tohono Chul, this place was a welcome friend.

A Beautiful Home Awy from Home

Pat’s rental is the perfect place for people who love nature, enjoy their morning coffee sitting and watching the sunrise and their evening cocktails marveling at the colorful shadows on the mountains, and appreciate the mysterious beauty of the desert. Since this quiet rental is “a bit of country” situated in the desert, we took daily walks in the desert just outside the back yard. With a vegetation guide, we could identify many of the cactus plants, and marvel at the little critters surviving in this unique environment. On many evenings we would hop in the hot tub and listen to the coyotes howl in the distance. Rabbits, quail, and little desert squirrels are plentiful right outside the window. All this and still just a short, beautiful, winding drive away from the city. The best part was that we didn’t need to bring anything but ourselves. You can buy groceries in town or at one of the two convenience stores down the road. Everything else is provided, and the roomy rental gave us plenty of space to putter around, read, or work on correspondence, etc. Pat was our best resource to give us touring, entertainment, and eating-out recommendations.

MILLION DOLLAR DESERT VIEW

We loved the spectacular views of Panther Peak and the Saguaro Desert from the back yard of this property!! The solitude, with the background sounds of the
desert birds was so conducive to our relaxation. My husband loved soaking in the hot tub in the evening. We enjoyed our lovely bedroom with a large flowering desert schrub outside the windows. This property suited us very well and was very well-stocked, clean, and attractive. Anything that we needed, we were able to obtain from our very gracious hostess. We enjoyed having our landlord so
accessible; her outgoing personality, knowledge of Tucson, and world travel adventures greatly enhanced our visit. We were amused and entertained by her friendly dogs who bonded with us immediately. If you are looking for solitude, beauty, and relaxation; this is the place!
