When you enter Villa Mangos 19, you will feel as though you have entered a tropical paradise. This Mediterranean Style Villa has a true 'plantation feel' of elegance and sophistication. French doors open unto the Verandah overlooking the 13th Hole of the Pete Dye La Romana Country Club private golf course where we are members and we can arrange for you to play. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished with custom made furniture throughout. The easterly orientation affords a pleasant light breeze throughout the day.
Las Minitas Beach is only a 5 minute walk.
The Villa comes with a full time staff of four: a wonderful cook who will prepare three meals a day for you; a maid who does the cleaning, (washing and ironing are available for a small additional fee to be paid directly to the maid); a male housekeeper who helps with baggage, maintains the pool and grounds and serves as a waiter, bartender and administrator who can do food shopping, or take you to do it yourself if you prefer and who serves as a chauffeur and handyman when needed.
Massage table included and administrator can arrange massages in the villa for you. Outdoor shower in Master bedroom is in addition to the full bathroom inside the room.
There is a large heated swimming pool (35,000 gallons) overlooking the beautiful golf course views. At night the grounds are lit with accent lights on the palm trees and you can just put your feet up, relax, and enjoy your friends and family. The staff takes care of your every need so you can truly vacation and enjoy!
Additional Casa de Campo amenities include three golf courses (Teeth of the Dog, The Links and Dye Fore), a plethora of water sports, yacht and ATV rentals, tours and other activities which can be arranged through our on-grounds administrator or directly through the Casa de Campo activities office.
Our names are Maritza and Richard and we live in the New York area except when we are in Casa de Campo.
Richard Williamson purchased this villa in 2007
Maritza and Richard were visiting in April of 2007 and had rented a villa for a week in another section. We fell in love with Casa de Campo and started looking to buy. We saw over 75 villas in a wide price range and this was the nicest of them all. Since purchasing it, we have made extensive improvements and upgrades in every area. All bathrooms are new, the kitchen is completely new, and all new furniture and decorations are present throughout. The villa has a wonderful welcoming and inviting feel as you enter and we offer our home as your home if you choose to stay in it.
We just returned from a wonderful family vacation to Casa de Campo. We rented this beautiful home with another family (4 adults and 5 children) and had such a memorable trip. The home is very spacious and fit our group perfectly, there was actually a little extra room. The pictures do not do the home justice. It is meticulously maintained and everything is extremely clean and up-to-date. The staff, especially was very attentive, professional and accommodated every request. Mario, Ingrid, Rosa and Angelo were truly great people who only wanted to make our stay at the villa even better. We highly recommend this property and look forward to returning soon to share in many more family spring break memories.
We stayed at the Villa for 5 days and had a wonderful time. It is extremely comfortable, with plenty of space (there were 4 of us and we felt like royalty). Each of us had our own bedroom - large and well-provisioned, with an elegant full bath...air conditioned, with a fan...not that it was necessary, the nights were very pleasant.
The meals were superb...we never went out to a restaurant because we didn't think we could find better food than we were getting in the villa...fish, chicken, meat, rice dishes, potatoes, plenty of fruit...everything you wanted, all wonderfully prepared. There was not one dish that I didn't like (and yet I tried not to over eat...). Fabulous desserts every night, plenty of drink..alcoholic and otherwise, all served by the staff that catered to our every need. All day, every day - if we just looked like we needed something, it showed up...ice water, soda water, wine, spirits, soft drinks, juices (the world's best pineapple juice)....and plenty of fresh fruit (did I mentioned that?).
And everything was very private and quiet...the villa is next to the tee for the 13th hole, but it's far enough away so we can watch them tee off (and chuckle) but not hear anything from them. And the neighbors are shielded by big palms and heavy growth (I don't even know if they were home).
We also had the use of the two golf carts so we were able to drive down to the beach, over to the hotel, and the country club, and to the golf courses without much difficulty at all. You have plenty of time so it's nice to move around Casa de Campo slowly.
By the way - we never left Casa de Campo - because the enclave has everything you want - and the beach is just 5 minutes by golf cart.
In summary - this is a superb villa, with a wonderful staff...inviting, open with cool breezes...you couldn't find a hotel that would offer more (and at a hotel, they wouldn't leave you alone)...
we keep remarking that this was the nicest "hotel" we had ever stayed at...the equal of 5-start hotels in Thailand, California, France....anywhere.
I liked it. Period.
