PERFECT! We enjoyed our time in this home. If only we had more time available and oh how we would loved to have stayed longer. We plan on staying again. The owners are very pleasant and easy to speak with. Everything available. This is THE HOME you are looking for.
My son choose Labor Day weekend to get married in the Smoky Mountains. I did not think that I would ever find a place that would fit all of our needs but Bear Creek cabin was the absolute perfect fit. Since we live in Kentucky and I had family coming in from New York, Pennsylvania and Florida I needed a cabin that would accommodate all of us and be able to hold a wedding. My daughter-in-law also had the vision of wanting a back-yard wedding which I thought would be unheard of in the Smoky Mountains. Not only is Bear Creek the perfect place to be able to accommodate a large number of people and is lovely inside and out but it also had a very large yard with plenty of parking for the wedding. The best part of renting Bear Creek cabin was the owners; Al and Jerrye, from the first moment I contacted them about the cabin they were kind, gracious and very accommodating. There was never the cold, callous and money hungry feeling you get from renting from a management company. Any question or problem was never too small and to get a response about a question on a holiday weekend in no time short was very reassuring to a mother stressed out from putting on a wedding. Needless to say the event and our time at the cabin was wonderful and I am certain that if we need a family cabin Bear Creek will be the first phone call I make.
My family has stayed at this cabin several times since 2008, and we have been extremely pleased each and every visit. It is very well decorated with high quality furnishings, and the setting is exactly what you envision a rustic cabin getaway to be – beautifully nestled in the mountains. An added bonus, however, is the fact that groceries, restaurants and activities are just a few short miles away. Our children range in age from 10 to young adult and all of us have our favorite things to do at the cabin, including relaxing at the pool, playing in the game room, reading on the deck, cooking a family meal, and watching a movie in the main family room. It really is the perfect place for some fun and relaxation. Also, the owners are very professional and easy to work with, and they maintain the cabin exceptionally well. This cabin and the owners are deserving of a five star rating. I highly recommend it for your family’s rustic retreat (but close enough to local fun).
This was our family’s 5th stay in Bear Creek Lodge, and once again, it was a spectacular time. The cabin is absolutely beautiful – very tasteful rustic décor and exceptionally clean and well maintained. It is perfectly located with a stunning mountain view and private feel, yet conveniently located near to a major grocery, restaurants and attractions. The kitchens (there are two) are very well stocked with all the essentials (and then some) to prepare meals at “home”. Our family has grown over the years, yet all 15 of us fit comfortably with plenty of room to spare. All the beds were very comfortable and each bedroom has its own nicely decorated private bath, plus a half bath off the main gathering area. The owners are wonderful, kind people who are extremely responsive and committed to making their guests feel welcome and special. Although the pool is shared, it is large and located just down the stairs from the cabin, so it still feels exclusive. During all of our visits, we had the pool to ourselves most of the time, and we always felt very comfortable leaving our toys and supplies there throughout our stay. Also, it was cleaned thoroughly every morning, so was always fresh and inviting. Bear Creek Lodge truly offers something for everyone – multiple decks with the gorgeous mountains as your backdrop for quietly reading a book, a large hot tub to relax (complete with more beautiful views) after a day of hiking, a game room equipped with pool table, air hockey, poker table and more – a hit with the kids and young adults, a large gathering area with a large flat screen TV for watching a movie together, and countless shopping, restaurants and attractions nearby. I give this cabin and the owners my very highest multiple star-plus-plus recommendation. If you reserve this cabin for your family gathering, you will not only be especially pleased, you will likely become “regulars” like our family has. We are already looking forward to visit number 6!
We found the cabin to be large, well furnished and in a nice location. The kitchen was well equipped. The pool is not private, so expect to see other people there. This might be a problem if you want to keep goggles and pool toys at the pool. We found that most of the mattresses on the big beds needed to be replaced. I was told they were only five years old. The people in the three bedrooms on the pool side of the house, all heard scratching noises in the house. This was at night. I also heard it while reading to my grandchildren in the third floor sitting area. It did not sound mechanical. Nice game room on the ground floor. Nice big paved area. We brought scooters, so our children could enjoy riding around. Close to fun stuff to do.
Our family of 17 traveled from Virginia and Wisconsin, meeting at this gorgeous cabin for a week. It is even lovelier than the pictures would lead you to believe. We had 8 adults (ages 35-74) and 9 children ranging from 1 to 15 years of age and we all loved our stay here. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped, the bedrooms are huge, beds comfy, beautiful decor, spotless and easy to keep clean, game room fun, and we had the large pool all to ourselves. The kids loved the hot tub, as well. It is conveniently located to the National Park and local attractions. We even loved the fact that there was no Wi-Fi and we were mostly "unplugged" for the week. The owner was so nice to work with! We would highly recommend this lodge to everyone!
Pigeon Forge has so much to offer! It is home to Dollywood, the Dixie Stampede, Wonderworks, and the Titanic Museum!
New additions to the area include The Island, home of the Great Smokey Mountain Wheel, and the Smokey Mountain Alpine Coaster.
Also available is the Great Smokey Mountain National Park with beautiful scenic drives, and for the outdoor enthusiast it is complete with hiking and horse back riding.
If you are feeling really adventurous there is whitewater rafting and zip lines!
Pigeon Forge is wonderful for outlet shopping, and the theaters and shows can't be beat.
The cabin is located just two miles off the main parkway. This makes it perfect for being tucked away, yet convenient to the activities you want to enjoy!
