SIERRA VISTA LODGE - AWESOME VIEWS OF SIERRA BLANCA - MUST SEE

We visited Ruidoso for the first time with our 9 year old grandson this summer. The fires were out and Ruidoso and the cabin were intact. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the cabin, the quiet surroundings, and the front porch. We had hummingbirds every day until the afternoon showers began. The washer and dryer were great and the cabin was very clean. There are a few downsides to be aware of. We were very glad we arrived before dark. There are lots of twists and turns from the main road to the cabin. Once you've done it, it's easy. The kitchen is very small; there is really only room for one cook and the broiler is very difficult to use. I don't know if the dishwasher or the water or the previous renter was the issue, but we had to rewash almost everything we used. The only air conditioner is upstairs and bedrooms are down. It was warm in July and so were the bedrooms. Keeping these things in mind, we enjoyed our stay and thought it was a good value.
