Located barely minutes from downtown our home is the perfect space for those that are looking for the slick and stylish aesthetic of a modern condo with the space and size of a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home. This is a stand alone house across the street from both a dog park and the famous hike and bike trail connecting you to the mainline of Austin’s vibrant downtown scene. With breathtaking skyline views from massive living and master bedroom windows, your comfort and enjoyment will be well satiated, and your time in the “Live Music Capital of the World” will be spent as one of the locals... at ease.
The condo is a mile and a half from South Congress where you can shop, sip, and eat to your hearts content. If that doesn’t strike your fancy, mosey a couple blocks West to South 1st Street’s vibrant restaurants. If you’re in the mood for a drink, 1.5 miles North is Austin’s famous 6th Street district where you can find yourself mixing with hipsters, UT students, or young professionals, depending on the block. Headed outside of the city limits for the day? You’ll have IH35 as an immediate outlet to get you started!
We recently travelled to Austin for a UT football game weekend and to visit with our children who are students at UT. What an amazing home! Megan, the owner, was very accommodating to every small request we had (A/C was super cold when we arrived on a steamy day, bottles of water in the fridge and fresh, clean, luxurious linens on the beds - what more could you ask?!)
This home is owner managed (unlike many homes you may rent from VRBO/HomeAway). This is a huge plus - the owners will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Luckily, everything was perfect upon arrival, but the hospitality was definitely noted and appreciated.
The home very convenient to the downtown scene, without being directly in the middle. We walked along the hike & bike trail to get to the Rainey Street district and 6th street. I would recommend a cab for late night ($5 cab fare).
Overall, this home was perfect for our stay and we are already planning next season's visit!
This house was great! Awesome location - 5 min. cab ride to Rainey Street and 10 min. cab ride to 6th street! Beautiful house - description was on point as far as the layout, amenities, location etc.! Property was very clean and well-maintained! Property Owner was very helpful from the booking process to the check-out. I would definitely recommend this property to someone else, or even book it again for myself for another vacation! We loved the bar scene on Rainey Street, and Saturday went down to the Greenbelt off 360 & Mopac. It is a bit of a hike, but once you get to the water it's gorgeous and a great hang out spot. Overall a wonderful trip!!!
This place is awesome all the way around & it has the best location! Super clean and nice and owners were a pleasure to deal with! We will be booking again if they will have us back :)
Really cool place, much better than staying in a hotel! It's in a great location, about a mile away from everything. The beds are really comfy. It is a little hard to find if you have to call an Uber or a cab (I'd recommend just walking to the end of the driveway so they can find you). I'd definitely stay here again.
The contemporary property is beautiful. We stayed there for ACL weekend with two other couple and had a blast. The master master bed view of downtown is the best. Megan was great and really helpful. Highly recommend this to anyone what wants to have a great time and great place.
The owner is very responsive. The arrival/departure procedure was simple which was very nice. The place was extremely clean and well maintained. You can walk to Rainey St, but will need to grab a cab or drive to get anywhere else. Due to the busy intersection it was hard to track down a cab, but we solved this by walking to the Holiday Inn across Town Lake and ordering one from the front desk. Deposit was back in my account in a couple of days. Recommend this place to anyone, for any occasion.
We were looking for somewhere to stay in Austin with friends for a few days to take in a music festival and see the city. After comparing the value received from a hotel in Austin versus renting a home for a few days, our choice was easy. We spotted Megan's home and within a few hours it was booked with complete instructions for our stay. Upon arrival, Megan had created a notebook with complete instructions, contact numbers, and even her favorite restaurants and nightlife. The property is close enough to downtown if you like to walk, but a minimal cab fare if you don't.
The home is beautifully decorated with every amenity you might need. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the mornings for coffee.
I would definitely recommend this property.
