Family-friendly home for that perfect retreat in the Texas Hill Country. Enjoy a multi-acre yard on the shore of the Pedernales River near Lake Travis. With 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, your group will be able to comfortably celebrate special occasions, watch the big game, or just get away from it all in this peaceful setting. Visit local wineries, play bocce, fly kites, throw a football or toss bean bags using some of the many games provided with the home. Prepare memorable meals in a gourmet kitchen featuring spacious double ovens, elegant Williams-Sonoma dinnerware, and a well-equipped set of cooking supplies. Then watch a movie or cheer on your favorite team on the two large flat screen TVs.

*Due to the low lake level caused by the drought, we have dramatically reduced our rental rate. Stay now before rates increase with the lake levels.

**In consideration of our neighbors, we don't accept rentals for bachelor/bachelorette parties, wedding receptions, or fraternity/sorority parties.

I hosted a writers' retreat here and was amazed at the hospitality of Christine and her family. It felt as if we stepped into a friend's home, not a rental. It was clean, quiet, restorative and perfect for our small group to brainstorm and write in the beautiful hill country setting. I'll definitely stay here again.

The place is simply amazing. We rented it for our wedding reception and every family member immediately loved the place. The lake view was great despite low water level when we rented it. I could only imagine how much fun one would have during the summer.

Christine is wonderful owner to always available through email and phone. She clearly had thought of everything to ensure a smooth stay for us.

Overall, great vacation rentals with very reasonable rate. Would recommend it to my friends in a heartbeat.

Excellent Accomodations

This house and view from the house was awesome. The decor and furniture was by far the best that we've seen. The rooms and space were large enough to accommodate everyone very easily. The downstairs living rooms allowed for the younger guests to hangout and have their own space. We'd forgotten to purchase games but that was no problem. There were more than enough games already at the house to play and a sound system to entertain. The kitchen was more than amply supplied with more than enough serving and dishware. Christine was very nice and everything was set-up for ease. I would definitely recommend this house.

Wonderful vacation home

We travel to the Austin area annually for a mini family reunion. This is the first time ewe have rented this property and will certainly not be our last. The owner, Christine, is absolutely wonderful and very available. She is prompt in responding to emails and provides her phone number in case she is needed. The house is cozy and comfortable, yet very roomy. The house is well maintained and very clean. It is obvious that tons of love and care have gone into this home. The beds are extremely comfy and linen is top notch. The kitchen is well equipped and has great appliances. Cooking in it is a joy. The balconies are extremely nice. Overall, the house feels like a home! We certainly will be renting again when we are in the Austin area.

Immaculate Home!

This home is absolutely wonderful! We were a group of 11 and everyone raved about the home. We are picky travelers and one in the group complains about EVERYTHING. However, she was totally impressed with the home! She walked through the home several times (trying to figure out which bedroom she wanted) and did not have one complaint! The entire house was immaculate. The “cooks” LOVED the kitchen and the extra refrigerator downstairs. Everything a chef would want was readily available (including spices). The men LOVED the balcony, grill and the backyard!! There were three levels and we all had our own space when we wanted it, or could gather in the family or media room to enjoy each other. Although we didn’t have children with us, there was a slide and swing set available for the little ones. The home also offers almost every game imaginable (Guesstures, Taboo, Trivia games, Monopoly, Scrabble, etc.) The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were soooooooooo comfortable. The homeowner, Christine, gives out her phone number and is readily available. This is our first and only choice when returning to Spicewood.
