We purchased our first studio condo at the base of Mt. Snow in 2001 to enjoy family vacations, hiking and skiing. In 2005 our daughter attended college nearby and worked at the mountain. We decided it was time to upgrade to a larger 1 bedroom condo for increased space.
We realized how much we enjoyed spending time in the Mt. Snow area and decided to purchase a home where we could all spend time together and have room to enjoy.
Our home is in a great four season resort. There's hiking, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, tennis, swimming, and so much more! There's something for everyone, every season!
Our home is warm and inviting and meticulously kept. Start your day with a cup of coffee relaxing in the sun room. End your day grilling on the large deck or lounging in hammock with a good book. You'll be surrounded by the quiet and serene forest. Whatever your pleasure, enjoy it from our Vermont country home!
Hi Kate-- Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your place in Vermont! It was comfortable, cozy and we enjoyed it so much. We definitely will keep you in mind for another family get together. It's a nice half way drive for us to meet our son. The mud wasn't so bad. We came home to tons of mud in Old Forge and a lake in our back yard!! It was a brutal winter and it's going to be a long messy mud season!
Thank you again.
We spent the Presidents Day weekend here and had great time. We were two families with three young children (7, 3, and 0yr old), and the stay couldn't have been more comfortable. We skied in Mt. Snow one day, but the other days were way too cold to go to the mountain, so instead, we enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, hot tub, billiard, and ping pong at the clubhouse. It was perfect for a -15 degree weather day. The ping pong table in the basement of the house was also a hit with a 7 years old. Kitchen was clean and well stocked with knives, pots and pans, and simple dishes, making eating-in easy and enjoyable, too. The owner Kate was very responsive and helpful - even promptly shipping a cellphone charger I left back to me! Thank you very much for our wonderful stay.
It was a pleasure to stay here. The house was beautiful. Our family absolutely loved it. It was a short drive to town to enjoy the local shops and restaurants. It is less than 10 minutes. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed our morning coffee out on the enclosed sun-porch. There was tons of firewood and we felt right at home. The view from the house was beautiful as the location is very scenic. Kate took the time to make sure our stay was comfortable and responded promptly to any questions. Thank you so very much for your hospitality!!! You truly made your house our home. I would highly recommend this house to others and I would be happy to return there in the future.
After owning a place not more than five minutes away for many years, we were excited to return to the Mt. Snow area with family visiting from the Midwest. Kate's home was absolutely perfect for four adults, four teenagers and a toddler. It was warm, cozy and very well appointed. I rented my former condo on VRBO for several years and understand the challenges in creating a seasonal rental property that is also your second home. It was perfect for relaxing after long days on the mountain. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen and even used the BBQ in Dec! The ping pong table in the basement was a hit. And there was swimming/hot tub, etc.. a short drive away at the community clubhouse. I highly recommend this home and plan on returning again. A+ Kate.
My family and I (4 adults, 2 young children) loved our stay at this fantastic home. It was well stocked, very clean, and super cozy. From the good size bedrooms and Vermont-style decor, to the wood fireplace and cozy carpeted floors (which were in excellent condition)...this home felt like our little home away from home. It was so nice to come "home" after a day of skiing (Mt. Snow is a quick 15 minute drive!) or sightseeing and just relax and make some great family ski trip memories. Kate was an absolute pleasure to work with - very nice and very responsive to any question that I had leading up to our stay. She even called the night of our arrival to check in and see how we were doing and if we had any further questions. In all the years I've rented homes, I've never had an owner who was so attentive. Thank you Kate for being so wonderful to work with and for letting us stay at your beautiful home. We will absolutely be back!
We were looking for a cozy quiet place with lots of charm and this is what we found. The home in a well-forested area was perfect for comfort and fun. Rooms were clean, well-appointed and had artwork that fit in with the Vermont theme.
We cooked in and found most of what we needed in the small kitchen. Not enough dining room chairs, but Kate said that that would be remedied in the future. The large, screen TV was a nice touch. In warm weather, there is a large wrap-around deck with privacy and grill.
Some of us played golf at Hermitage GC and it was only 5 minutes away with panoramic views of the mountains. Wilmington , with little shops for browsing, was also nearby and convenient.
All in all, worth a stay !!
What an awsome house. It was a pleasure to stay here. Kate was great, and SO accommodating and helpful. The house was beautiful. It was our home away from home for the weekend we were there. The children absolutely loved it. It was a short drive to town to enjoy the local shops and restaurants. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed our morning coffee out on the enclosed sun-porch. This house has a tranquil effect that carries lots of charm and character. From now on, when we visit Vermont, this will be the house of our choice. Its been a while, but we hope to return soon. Kate took the time to make sure our stay was comfortable and responded promptly to any questions, Its great to have an owner care not only for their property, but also the vacationers as well. Thank you so very much for your hospitality!!! You truly made your house our home...
