Our sweet little apartment, aka the 'Little Sister', offers a quiet and peaceful escape from the bustle of downtown, while only a 5 minute drive away, located in the beautiful Grovepark neighborhood. We have a very comfortable queen size bed that is topped with a memory foam pad that is nestled in the corner of the room with windows on both sides. During the summer you may sleep with the windows and screen door open while listening to the water flowing in the garden and the birds chirping in the yard. There is a deck off the back that has a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying the garden or a glass of wine before you go out. The apartment has a galley kitchen and living room equipped with satellite TV, DVR and high speed internet. The Little Sister is attached to our home, so we are nearby to offer anything you may need to make your vacation better - whether it's restaurant recommendations and hiking advice, or a bike or cooler to borrow. We love Asheville, and are happy to point you in the direction you're trying to get to.

There are no pets allowed at this property, nor any smoking on the premises.

About Sarah Nie, reservation manager

Lynne is a commercial photographer with a downtown studio, Working Girls Studio & Gallery, that guests may visit. Steve manages various New York City musicians/performers and is also a musician himself. His band, Ol Hoopty plays in various music venues in downtown Asheville occasionally.

The Little Sister is located near the historic Grove Park Inn in North Asheville, just a 5 minute drive from downtown, or a 2.5 mile walk. The neighborhood is known for it's pretty homes and scenic walks, including a 10 minute walk to the Grove Park Inn itself, where you can have a candlelit dinner, visit their world class spa, or have a glass of wine by their huge fireplaces. Also, nearby are beautiful Beaver Lake which has a nice walking/biking path as well as many locally operated restaurants, grocery stores, drugs stores - everything you need is nearby.

  • There is a shower unit, toilet and pedestal sink in the bathroom, which is equipped with luxury soft white towels. We have locally made soap by Essential Journeys for our guests and we will have some shampoo and body lotion available as well.

  • The queen size bed is very comfortable - it has soft cotton sheets and a memory foam pad on it, with down duvet. Little sister is perfect for one person or a couple. Very centrally located in a great walkable neighborhood, but close to downtown. Comfortable and compact. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful and Comfortable in-town Retreat!

Happy New Year! We can't thank you enough for providing a lovely in-town retreat in groovy Asheville. Rich and I couldn't have had a more wonderful and comfortable time. We cycled to The Asheville Yoga Center and town almost everyday- cooking for ourselves (Thanks to Greenlife) and great veggie meals out- favorites: Plant (wins prize), Homegrown, Over Easy (brunch, Dobra for daily chai and good vibes. Thanks for new musical connection collaboration Steve! Hope to see ya again this year! Love and peace.

Great location for our 2 week stay in Asheville. We followed a few of your restaurant suggestions and enjoyed them all- especially 12 Bones.
