Bouropigos is a charming hill-top fully restored traditional stone farmhouse with far-reaching views from the south-facing terrace over the unspoilt Gers countryside to the Pyrenees. Set in 10 acres, the house provides comfortable and totally private accommodation. The house is furnished in a simple rural French style and whilst retaining many original features, modern comforts have been added to create a unique property. The town of Boulogne-Sur-Gesse is only 7 minutes drive away and provides all amenities including bakers, butcher, supermarket, bank and pharmacy as well as a weekly market. The location is convenient for the major airports serving the region (Toulouse, Pau).

The picturesque countryside of the Gers offers a wide variety of outdoor activities including walking, mountain biking, water sports and horse riding. The fabulous mountains of the Pyrenees are easily accessible for trekking in the summer and skiing in the winter. The historic towns of Auch, Tarbes, Lourdes, Pau and the beautiful City of Toulouse are all easily reached by car. Bouropigos is well situated for visiting the famous Jazz Festival that is held in Marciac during August. There are many and varied local sites to visit whether ones interest is for historic monuments, gastronomy or outdoor adventure pursuits. The Atlantic coast beaches can be reached in 2 hours by fast road.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Arrival after 5pm, departure by 11am unless otherwise arranged by request.. All guests are greeted personally upon arrival. Rates include all taxes, all utilities (electricity, gas, water, heating) and all linens (bed linens, towels, kitchen & table linens).
  • All bookings require a deposit of £200. The balance payable is due 6 weeks prior to your stay. In the case of cancellation over 6 weeks prior to your stay £50 of your deposit will be retained. Under 60 days the deposit will be forfeited, under 4 weeks all funds received will be forfeited.
    A security deposit of £200 is required which will be refunded at the end of your stay provided that there is no damage. This payable when the balance is due.
  • The owners live in the area and are on hand to offer help and advice to make your stay a pleasant one. The house leaflets and local information regarding local attractions,shops and restaurants.

Notes: Bouropigos is fully equipped self-catering accommodation for the ultimate 'get away from it all' simple, rustic and relaxing holiday. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with wrought iron bed, a living area furnished with a sofa and arm chairs and a large open wood fire. The adjoining dining room leads through French doors onto the south-facing terrace which is equipped with table, chairs and an inviting chaise lounge. The kitchen has an electric oven, a modern gas hobs and another large open fireplace. Through the kitchen is a scullery with washing machine and a second bathroom and shower. Stone stairs lead to the upper floor, part of which has been opened up into the open-beamed eaves of the house which sleeps 2 in a spacious area. The third bedroom is reached via a glass-walled corridor which looks out over the north-facing terrace. The immediate area around the house is laid to lawn with a variety of fruit trees including fig and walnut trees. The house is not overlooked.
