This villa has tree top views of turquoise water from its ocean front second and third floors, which provide wonderful privacy yet constant wonderful scenery. It is the upper end villa in a development of only 6. The property next to this villa is part of a large private estate where the home is considerable distance away.
Have your cake and eat it too. : You are still within a well lighted area of West Bay Beach with an easy walk to its amenities without being right in the middle of it. There is snorkeling and shore fishing right out front and a short walk to dock fishing. Fishing Charters and Scuba Diving businesses are a short walk away.
Bayside is at the eastern end of West Bay Beach but still on the West Bay Beach side of the canal. There is a bump-out of ironshore that acts to stop the bulk of the vendor and day visitor foot traffic. You may use the boardwalk to cross the ironshore. Bayside is still within the part of the bay where there are lights and watchmen for the resorts and restaurants. You can easily walk down the beach to these amenities but do not have to share in the noise or traffic.
The road access to the beach in this area is private access only.
Second largest Barrier Reef: The reef comes right up to shore at West Bay. It is a very sheltered bay with excellent snorkeling opportunities. While there has been some siltation of West Bay it has not experienced the problem to the extent of some of bays with older developments.
Because this bay is at the end of the island it gets fresh water coming into to it. that creates a place where marine life come to feed.
Left a career in IT Project Management and satellite systems engineering to move with my husband and teen son to Roatan. It was the best thing we could have done for our son and ourselves.
It is on the most beautiful beach on Roatan yet is not in the thing of all the hubbub. It is on the West Bay Beach side of the canal and the ridge. It does not have public road access to the beach where it is located and it is an easy walk to amenities.
It is water front with a white sand beach an coral very close to shore. It has fabulous views of the water through double pane glass sliders; split AC units and quiet concrete construction.
This is our 8th trip to Roatan. We've stayed in West End & West Bay a number of times. Bella Vista is in an excellent location at the end of West Bay beach, away from all the crowds yet a close walk to dive shops, restaurants, and bars. There is excellent snorkeling about 250 yards off the beach. You do have to snorkel over eel grass a ways before it clears. The room was very spacious & comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. There were no bugs in the house. Both decks are spacious and the swimming pool is a dip pool, however accommodating. The room was kept stocked with water for the water cooler. Water pressure in the room was very low & showers were cool about half the time, but not a problem. The air conditioners work fine, however the living room was a little on the noisey side. Bella Vista is very quiet & right on the water. We never heard any noise from the people in the neighboring units. Linda was very helpful & informative during the booking process. We would definitely stay here again.
This is such wonderful condo plus perfect for being to it's self and yet so very close to West Bay Beach--- Linda, Kevin and John make sure your stay is perfect in every way. This is our third time staying at the condos and always feel like we're coming home!!! Very quick to get all your questions answered I highly recommend letting Linda and her team!!!
The house is at a very convenient location, it has its own private beach right infront the house, wich is very quiet and peaceful, and also is just 5 minute walk away from the tourist and commercial area from West Bay. The view from the house is AMAZING!!!! Specially from the main bedroom, you will love it! Linda was very nice and helpfull during all the rental process! She provided us all the information and guidelines for our visit. Kevin and John were there to welcome us and they helped us in everything we needed during our stay. They were all very nice to us.
The house looks exactly like the pictures, you get exactly what you pay for! And I could even say that you get more, since the house is fully equiped. We are very pleased and would definitely recommend Bella Vista to our friends! We can't wait to go bak!!
My fiance and I (we actually got engaged on the top balcony of this property) and 2 other couples (all 20 and 30 somethings) vacationed here last summer and had a blast. The condo suited our needs exactly. It was close to West Bay without the foot traffic of the beach. The condo was well appointed. I wouldn't call it luxurious - but it was comfortable and had a generator (which turned out to be a major asset, keeping us cool during some long outages). Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend this property to anyone! Just do it! (And seriously, don't pet the cats - not even if you're feel nice after one too many monkey la las - we had one that followed us everywhere).
We recently spent several nights at Bella Vista in Roatan. This unit is exactly as advertised; large and spacious, clean and well appointed. You can choose either the two bedroom or three bedroom with master,and I highly recommend ensuring you have access to the third floor master bedroom and deck. It is a beautiful, large deck with a stunning view of the nightly sunset. Bella Vista is located right next to Las Rocas where the food was very good and competitively priced. They also make very good Monkey LaLa's...basically an alcohol fueled milkshake. What's not to like. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for everyone to lounge. We especially enjoyed floating in the beautiful ocean on the water floaty things that were available to use. You are located just around a corner from the busy West Bay area so you could enjoy all that area has to offer and escape from the crowds within a five minute, safe walk. Great location and great layout.
The condo property (about 5 units) has a very good location, with its own beach, not far from the West Bay beach with many restaurants and tour services, which is just a few minutes walk. We were there in July, which is apparently low season, although I don't know why; the weather was very nice, a little hot, with just a few short rain showers. Good snorkeling on the reef nearby. For food, we liked Fosters and Vintage Pearl, as well as Lighthouse in West End. Be sure to apply (eco-friendly) insect repellant before going outdoors. My husband neglected to do so one day and provided a feast for the sand flies. Gumbalimba Park is a few minutes walk. This might be more fun for a family with younger kids; some of it is a little hokey. We preferred the ziplines at South Shore to Gumbalimba ziplines; staff there was a lot of fun.
This luxurious ocean and beach front home is located in a secluded yet, well lighted and secure part of West Bay Beach. You may walk along the beach to several different restaurants and bars at night. The access road is private which helps keep the beach for guests use only. It is on the West Bay Beach side of the high boat clearance bridge over the Galindo canal. Being up on the second and third floors it gets up in the breeze and away from the biting insects.
