House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 9-15)

Come relax at the River House, our beautiful two-story cabin with breathtaking views of the river. This tranquil getaway is located on the banks of the Colorado, just minutes from historic downtown Smithville, Texas.

After you've napped on the deck, walk down through our small pecan orchard and enjoy private access to the river. Fish from the banks, or wade in and go swimming, tubing, kayaking or canoeing. In the evening, you'll have a front row seat for our lovely Texas sunsets and starry nights.

For a change of pace, stroll down Main Street and check out all the wonderful antique shops and restaurants nearby.

Many films are shot in Smithville, including Sandra Bullock's Hope Floats, as well as the recently released, Tree of Life, starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn. Take a tour of all the featured locations throughout town, then come home and browse through our extensive video library.

The River House is also a great destination for birdwatchers. Come discover the many species of birds that live on the banks of the Colorado. If you're there at the right time of year, you'll even see our family of bald eagles!

During your visit, you'll enjoy the best of both worlds: peaceful, easy country living with all the modern conveniences. This spacious, four-bedroom, two-bath house has all the comforts of home, including WiFi and HD TV. We also have a sunny study upstairs with it's own private balcony. The master bedroom on the first floor has a connecting bathroom that also leads into the main living area. Upstairs you'll find the three additional bedrooms, sunroom and separate bath.

Hanna's River House was the perfect getaway location for our fairly large (11) golf group. All the guys were impressed with the secluded location, with all of them asking me at one time or another "how did you find this place?!" We were provided with virtually everything we needed to ensure a comfortable, homey atmosphere, and everyone had a great time. I heartily recommend the River House as a great location to get away from the hustle and bustle, but it's close enough to Bastrop to enjoy all that the town has to offer. Thanks for a great stay - looking forward to more of them!

Birthday celebration

We came to celebrate Mandy's 21st birthday! The house was perfect and having the water right behind the yard was amazing!

We floated down to the park several times and greatly enjoyed how easy the walk back was. The river house was an extremely fun time and we hope to come back soon!

Family Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Hannah! Thanks for all!! It's all been perfect!

We all had soooooo much fun down by the riverside!

Had a BLAST!

Can't wait to come back.

Spent most of our daylight hours playing and exploring the river. Also found a new fishing hole. Great times.

So much fun with our families remembering good times and making new ones.

Had a great time. Fun with long time special friends.
