Surrounding Area: Flagler Beach is a charming beach town out of the past, with many restaurants, a pier, shops, surfing, world class golf, and fishing. Kids love it because it has just enough activity to keep them interested, but not enough to be threatening. Just ride a bike to get pizza or an ice cream cone, or to rent a video. If you prefer a little busier beach life, head up to the pier, at the town center, where you'll find more beach-goers and surfers. If you want even more action, Daytona Beach is 15 miles south, with beaches you can drive on, and great nightlife. A few miles further south brings you to Cape Canaveral National Seashore and NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Just 20 miles north of Flagler Beach is the historic city of St. Augustine. Visit the old fort, the shops and restaurants in the old historical town center, or the 200 stores of St. Augustine Outlet Mall. This is a perfectly located vacation spot.
