The only reason we gave 4 stars is the location and parking. The unit itself rates 2-3 stars.
The living room was more like a hotel lobby than a living room... no sofa and no table to eat at. We did make do by removing a table floral display and moving 2 chairs from the office and another from the roof to make a dining table, but no relaxing comfy sofa at the end of a long day in that room!
The little balcony should be charming but only 2 chairs, a non-functioning fountain that is breeding mosquitos and several abandoned pots made what could have been wonderful seem more like a dumping ground
The smaller bedroom had no usable closet! One closet housed the washer & dryer, the other was locked... you really can't call this a bedroom if the person has no closet. Dusty & dirty office drawers had to be cleaned before we could put clothes there - linens & bedspread are "tired" and need to be replaced.
Master bedroom was comfortable but the linens are also "tired" and somehow the dark & faded animal print sheets just seemed dirty. The closet is full of mildew and smells bad
Both bathrooms had tubs, but neither had a plug - we purchased plugs after the 3rd day as the water pressure was terrible - you had to shower in a trickle of water even with the pump on & the tub took 45 minutes to fill
Master Bath shelf housed a strange collection of cameras & coffee grinders but no towel hooks or place to hang pajamas. It made this apt seem more like a dumping ground or storage area instead of a place furnished to make guests comfortable
Kitchen was poorly furnished... we had to buy sponge, dish soap, towel for drying dishes, peeler... and had to ask for a kitchen knife, paper towels, garbage bags... pots & pans were provided and appeared clean although they were in VERY poor condition - scratched, dented and generally nasty looking. Dishes & glasses did not match and appeared to be leftovers as did the tired, used items filling all the drawers.
We were warned the place is on the 4th floor, but did not know that the hall would not have lights at night so climbing the stairs in the dark was a little dangerous.
We had a wonderful visit to Old San Juan because we always make the best of any circumstances, but the apt was far from crisp, comfortable, well equipped and cozy. I must say the parking was a wonderful bonus and the location excellent.

We are very sorry that some household items were missing upon arrival and were hoping that once we delivered them immediately after being informed together with a nice bottle of wine you would accept our apology for this failure. We are as well sorry, that the design of the apartment did not meet your expectations/ needs even though all is shown on our pictures. We do understand that we could not accommodate you in your first/ original choice and believe that this is where your disappointment started. We are glad to know that you had a wonderful time after all.
