This is no ordinary cottage, quite apart from breath-taking views from every windows, the house is utterly delightful and comfortable with oil fired central heating, wooden floors and subtle decor which sets the tone in this tranquil hideaway. Situated right at the heart of what

National Geographic calls it 'the Most Beautiful Place on Earth .The spectacular views of the rugged cliffs which make up the coastline can be seen from every window of the house.

Sheep graze the lush land around the Stone House as do ponies from time to time,if the ponies are there they like you to pay them a little attention and feed them carrots/apples.

You can walk through the fields attached to the house and feel the freedom of living in the country also you can walk to the cliffs through the fields and sit on the stone wall and watch the waves and the ocean and the surrounding hills and cliffs and feel the peace and tranquility seep through your body!!

The house is probably the best situated on the dingle peninsula with views that awe-inspiring, the pictures that accompany this sight are all the the views you will experience from you visit.

I was born hear and my first language was Irish I Came from a large family of 8 kids. I became a nurse where I traveled to England for work in my younger days but my heart never left home, I returned where myself and my husband Alec reared our family.

philomena purchased this cottage in 2006

Alec and I build the house as we wanted to share this piece of Heaven with our guests . Never have i grown tired of the view or even seen a place to equal the place that i call home.

Within a few minutes walk you are on the magical beach of clogher which you see from the cottage or Cuis Na Naon where generations of my family have fished from to rear there big family.

The view/Peace/Tranquility/Walks or Tracks and simple life... come and see for yourself!!

Wonderful home and excellent hosts!

Our family cannot say enough about this property and the wonderful hosts that we found in Phil and Alec! The photos do not do this property and its breathtaking surrounding vistas justice! It was an absolute pleasure to wake up every morning looking out onto Clogher Beach and the Three Sisters, listening to the sheep bleat and watching the lambs play in the pastures. We had a great time exploring the area's numerous walking/hiking trails and enjoyed our time in Dingle immensely! Our stay was a true reminder of why we love Ireland and we already cannot wait to return.

The home is comfortable with spacious bedrooms and a stocked kitchen that made eating in easy. Every aspect of the home was clean and inviting and we had everything that we needed from plates, kitchen supplies, linens, towels and even laundry facilities complete with detergent. Phil and Alec are both wonderfully kind and accommodating people who were available our entire stay to answer questions about places to eat and things to do. We had an absolutely lovely time! Highly recommended!

Fabulous Family Spot

The Stone Cottage was all we expected and more. The view from the master suite could be compared to views from a cruise ship suite. Our family of six enjoyed the spacious, very clean and comfortable surroundings. Five well appointed baths along with very comfortable bedroom settings made our stay so relaxing. We brought two professional chefs with us and the kitchen and its accoutrements were spot on. We had Irish Brown Bread recipe bake offs followed by some great family card games. Phil and Alac and their family made us feel like we belonged in Dingle.

We were there in July and I can't wait to go back!!! One of these days we will return to Ireland and stay right here again. It was the perfect spot!!! So clean, so beautiful, the house, the view, the location and Phil could not be any nicer! We so enjoyed our stay. Hopefully in the summer of 2015 we will be able to return. My husband and I would not even consider staying anywhere else. This place has it all!

Amazing cottage!

Words cannot fully describe how pleased we were with this cottage. It was exactly what we had hoped for and so much more. The cottage itself is beautiful inside and out, furnished and decorated very tastefully but with a very homey, cozy feel. Lovely kitchen with anything one might need. Bedrooms are very good-sized and each has its own bathroom; there is also a half bath on the first floor. Beds were perfectly comfortable. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had lots of interesting books to read. There were plenty of skylights in the house and many large windows, making it a cheery house. The view of Sibyl Head out the living room window is extraordinary. You can walk down to the water through fields of grazing sheep. It is about a 15to 20 minute drive from the lovely town of Dingle, and only about 5 minutes to the village of Ballyferriter. The owner of the cottage is a lovely woman who was very friendly and helpful; we were very happy to have met her. This was really a perfect vacation in a perfect place for us. I would give this cottage the highest possible recommendation; there was nothing about it that we didn't like; we loved everything. It broke our hearts to leave at the end of the week!

We spent 4 wonderful days at the Stone House in mid-September 2013 - an absolutely majestic setting to end up our Ireland trip. One cannot say enough good things about the house and the location - magical only comes close!

The owner, Philomena, is warm, accommodating & sincere - in fact, inspirational in many ways. We so enjoyed our conversations with her about the locale but mostly about how life is lived on Dingle.

There is absolutely no doubt we will return!

Sincerely,
Frank & Elli
